Would you visit a warm bank?

Question

Rising energy costs in the UK mean thousands on low incomes will struggle to heat their homes this winter. One solution being proposed is to turn buildings such as community centres, libraries, museums, art galleries into what's being coined as "warm banks". Rather than spend your evenings in your own cold home you would go and relax in your nearest warm bank.

I can see the benefits, especially for old lonely people but would you feel comfortable taking you family to one each evening to keep warm?
Remember you still have to go home at bedtime?

UK is a shit hole who the fuck cares, What kind of government/country offers up it's vulnerable children to be grooming by muslims and raped over a 30-40 year period all for the sake of political correctness. If I had to choice to nuke india or the UK I would nuke the UK because of how it's being run into the ground by illegal immigrants, leftist ideals and child rapists get off for lack of evidence. Can't go after a gang of 20 muslim child raping men because it would be racists and Islamophobic plus it would cost too much money!

Assuming it's actually a thing, then it's a great idea TBH and you'll probably get a bit of social interaction from it too.

Like someone else stated though, it'd suck being in there, only to go home to a cold house.

I probably wouldn't go to one, unless I felt like I couldn't wrap up at home or anything, I'd probably just layer up.

Where I live currently, they have cooling stations set up all throughout the city to prevent people from dying from the heat with no a/c because it kills several people every summer, usually low income or homeless. You do what you have to do to survive, and if going to a warming bank is going to do that for you, than you do it. Really, what exactly is your alternative, freeze to death?

Nah, we have a huge woodburner which also heats the water in all the radiators throughout the house, and the local builders merchant gives us shipping pallets to burn for free. Plus I live in the warmest part of the country.

The bad part of going to a warm bank. You will still need to keep the pipes from freezing and then go home to a cold house!

I'd rather stay at home, I do not have my heating on high anyway (usually around 17 C) I've haver been comfortable in temps of 20 C+.
