Guys, will you be understanding if your wife has to work overtime on a matter at work, temporarily?

Will you be supporting her if she needs to be present at work day in day out temporarily, all the while you had planned a big trip in the near future?

I am watching Delhi Crime Netflix series, and the husband of that female I. P. S. (high-ranking police) officer is not able to or willing to understand the kind of pressure she is in because of a serial multiple murder case.

He says that all his friends and relatives say that she does not respect him and they had a big spat in the episode.

Would you be understanding of her or him?

I'd definitely be understanding. In the states though it's unlikely a woman would be the one working over time.. It happens, but it's not near as common as men working over time. And I thank God my wife is understanding.

I have had a professional job for 36 years and I know that there are times when the job requires time outside of normal working hours. I would be disappointed but supportive.

Yeah, why wouldn't I? I used to work at a bank where, every so often, we'd have mandatory 10 or 12 hour shifts just to because we had an overflow of work that needed done.
