I think US defeating Hitler , Depression , and Democrats shutting down economy/printing dollar were biggest events. I believe shutting down economy over a virus that only killed less than 1% will lead to the destruction of US economy.

WW2 had an effect on the whole world that has been felt for decades. Look at the rise of Communism, the technological advances, the Marshall plan, NATO and the United Nations.

Only American nationalists believe that nonsense. Ask any European and they will tell you otherwise. They were already weakened by Russia before the U. S. even arrived. US came in very late. So no, it's NOT a fact and I don't appreciate your cocky tone

Indeed, the USSR did most of the job. Most of germany's casualties during WW2 were on the eastern front.

However, the soviets probably would not have succeeded if they had been left to do it alone. Hitler would have unleashed everything he had against them. The other allies (UK, Canada, US, etc.) made the victory easier and quicker to grasp by opening many fronts, thus keeping Hitler's forces spread thin, fighting everywhere all accross Europe and North Africa.

Also, Hitler contributed greatly to his own defeat because he was totally incompetent and made many incredibly stupid moves, often overruling his competent commanders who dared not criticize him... our dear adolf was delusional and thought himself to be a "military genius".

Without the US, Germany still loses... it just takes longer to achieve victory. The British, along with the commonwealth were not a negligeable force by any means, even after Dunkirk... and with the USSR, Hitler didn't stand a chance, even without the US involved.

Had Hitler managed to proceed with operation sea lion before setting off to raise hell in the USSR and defeated england, there would not have been much hope.
