1. This question reflects a bit of bias in perspective. The fact that an economy is large doesn't mean that citizens of that country will become the bosses of other countries. The American experience to date is that a minority of Indians who come to the US are in the professional class, mostly physicians, but most Indians in the US either run gas stations/convenience stores, or they manage hotels.

China could overtake the US in terms of economy - but in case of military, no, not yet. They are still behind even if they are chugging carriers at a fast rate. Why? Experience. USA have been waging war across the globe. They know how to handle logistics and intelligence. They have troops with combat experience and officers with tactical experience. Both are upgrading military tech as we speak.
