What are your thoughts on Universal Basic Food?

Even though I am very pro capitalist. I think there should be food ration for everyone which they may or may not choose to take. You will still have to work hard to get fancy foods or yacht.

But for basic foods you don't need to worry. People pay a lot of taxes anyways. And a part of it should go making sure people don't need about food.

That they have a safety net much like parents if something their job or business were to go wrong. I think they will feel much free er.

Life doesn't owe you anything. We already have a safety net for people who are physically or mentally incapable of working - everyone else needs to work for their own survival. There are already FAR too many people who aren't. Are you aware that 46% of the US population pays ZERO income taxes, yet these same people consume more than 60% of payouts. That's already absurd.

The US currently has a MASSIVE amount of Disability fraud, for example. So many people claim that they can't work a job because they have anxiety or emotional distress or some unspecified pain. I've been in customer homes where they were talking to an adult child about how to go about getting Disability, so they could be like the other people in the family, where THREE GENERATIONS of adults were all on Disability, so no one worked. They knew which doctors to go to and what to say to get their paperwork signed off. Then, free money forever, at the expensive of taxpayers.

There is also already charities.

I find the idea that people should struggle for the necessities of life to be absurd. We are no longer cavemen and we should act like it. I think that basic necessities such as food, water, healthcare and shelter should be a natural right to people at the bare minimum.

Specially since communist ideas such as taxation is in place. If you give 10% tax then its 10% communism. If you pay 50% tax then its 50% communism. If you pay 100% tax then it's full blown communism.

Each year an estimated 50 million tonnes of farmed fruit and vegetables grown in Europe is discarded for being the wrong size or misshapen. The UK alone is responsible for over 4million tonnes of edible vegetables being discarded. Given you already pay taxes to help food production I don't think it's unfair or unreasonable to have a universal food package of raw ingredients. It wouldn't effect the economy much because people would still buy processed food. A good example is fish, supermarket often have a large display of fresh fish yet that's all it is, an advertising gimmick. Little is actually sold and most gets binned. Most people buy their fish frozen as fish fingers and fish pies etc.

They also have the highest rates of obesity of any racial demographic which contributes to a large array of disease states which ultimately leads to them having the lowest life expectancy of any race… Government food management seems to have poor results...

I’ll give you the fact that national food security is a national security issue. We do need to produce more than enough calories for our population and to field a military for defense. Thus it is a good idea to subsidize crops so that other nations can’t blackmail us with threats of starvation. Having cheap food that is always available in our market is a good thing. I don’t think the government should decide how it is distributed to the citizens though.

Where do you get the impression that I support corrupt politicians or in fact, corruption? You couldn't be further from the truth, I hate corruption in all it's forms and will always speak out.
