Why do you think white poor American conservatives like to kiss the @$$ of the rich so much when the rich oppose their best interest financially?

Out of the top 10 poorest states nearly all of them are red states supporting politicians who fight tooth and nail against their best interest especially financially to favor the rich and powerful yet poor conservatives side with the rich when the mega rich are directly against them.

poorest states is a bad meausre as the cost of living is lower in some states than others meaning effective income is higher in kentucky than you think. it is also an illusion to look at states, you should be looking at count, even in deep red states the richest counties vote blue Democrats vastly outspent the republicans in 2020  Of the ten richest zip codes in the U. S. eight gave more money to Democrats than Republicans in the last two presidential cycles.   infact by any measure really the democrats are the party of the rich now  the top 20 richest congressional districts are all held by democrats  democrats are the party of the rich

It‘s an excellent question. I can only guess poor people never have much chance of a good education and even less chances to travel and learn from other countries‘ successes. They work exhausting, grinding jobs, often with extra shifts to make ends meet, they have no mental capacity left to properly analyze and compare their situation. And lastly, don’t forget the constant Machiavellian propaganda everywhere about ‘Murrica best and number one and if you are sick, old or poor, it must be your own fault.

Incorrect. The liberal states that are considered wealthy like CA, are actually one of the poorest in the whole country.

People constantly get that wrong because they consider wealthy as GDP instead of income to debt ratio.

If you make $100k per year and spend $200k per year you are poor, but most people are ignorant enough to think if you make $50k per year and only spend $35k per year to live and save $15k per year that that person is poor.

That is one of the reasons why CA that is actually very poor and has half the whole country's homeless is considered wealthy by people that don't understand real economics. The media consistently portrays this incorrectly too. Happy conservative places where people can support their whole family on one income are considered poor, and liberal states where people need two incomes and are crushed by debt to live and are not happy are considered wealthy.

Do they though? If you knew anything at all about capitalism, you'd know that capitalists don't believe in a fixed pie. The entire point to create surplus value, which we typically measure as profits. The higher profits are, the higher consumption and investment can be.

Elon is rich. But the only way he can stay rich is if he has plenty of customers available to him that are rich enough to buy his cars.

What the heck is your source? It's just some stats about the poorest states, without any sort of offered explanation on why or how. I thought you were going to make an argument on how supposedly conservatives oppose poor people's financial interest, or something.

Unsurprisingly, you don’t understand these people at all since you have no contact with them. First of all, how do you conclude they’re „siding with the rich“? The rich and powerful are generally Democrats.

And they can’t be that dumb- they aren’t supporting the Democrats, who hate them, incite hatred against them and do nothing for them. Why should they support racist, hateful Democrats?

if your argument is that neither political party serves the interests of ordinary people, that’s absolutely right, but that’s not the point you’re making because you’d have to say the same about ordinary Democrats supporting a party that does nothing for them.

Not sure if it is only conservatives but from what I see here in the US the belief is that if you work hard enough you will become a billionaire and from that the logic goes that "if I am a rich the government will come for my money" So perhaps the poor think that they will be the next Bill Gates any day now.

Because the rich don't oppose their best interests. The poor conservatives probably understand how things actually work. The conservatives are the ones who have the best interest of the poor in mind. Not everyone believes all the Democrat rhetoric that they are helping the poor. The Dems don't help the poor, they create more poor.

It's a neat trick to create a problem then get votes by claiming to solve the problem they created.

They convince the people its the govorments fault and only they can save them then once in office they do nothing but spend all there time passing bills and such that only benefit them. If they play puppet master with the govorment they get to rule america from the shadows while the govorment takes the flack instead of the corperations. Well 1/3 to 2/5 or so of most Red States voters are Democrats. You have not demonstrated that the "poor whites" vote GOP, nor have you demonstrated that the "rich" whom they allegedly worship are not Democrats.
