Conservatives don't have a lot of animosity towards the rich (even those who are born with it)- that's liberals/ leftists. They hate the pretentious college grads who think reading and writing short reports for four years instead of working makes them better than them.

I hate that stupid attitude because I was a factory worker and a college student and somehow you think working like a dog makes you think college students are lesser than you because you feel stupid or didn't achieve your dreams, stop knocking down higher education just because you didn't go to college or have the opportunities I had.

Listen, kid, I have two Masters degrees, and I'm working on a PhD. I don't think college makes you lazy, but I don't think it makes you better- OR even smarter. Like you said, it was an OPPORTUNITY. College standards have dropped since the 1950's to where the average 4-year grad has the same IQ as average (100); so, my point was that THAT'S why poor conservatives don't like pretentious college kids, who predominantly vote Democrat (and as mentioned, they don't particularly dislike the rich).
