Why do conservatives call any type of reform they don't like as socialist even though democrats are not socialists?

Anything from LGBTQ and transgender rights to healthcare reform is either called socialist or an agenda, and they think we are too stupid to not recognize their coded words especially when they call critical race theory as being woke which they really mean race traitor for us white liberals who reject their views.

Americans don't know jack shit about socialism other than how to spell it. Even then they usually need to look at how it's spelled.
