People who are nonconformists generally aren't popular with the mob... They can have good or bad intentions so you have to evaluate them on a one by one basis. The people that try to control the mob are generally evil by nature. The mob by extension for following their evil controller are evil.

I think they were born with the genetic disposition to be more easily receptive do Evil. I also believe that they unconsciously and surely consciously made decisions to do Evil. Whether there was societal enhancement towards that way is likely a "yes". Social media etc... as influencing agents

no one is born evil. a lot of it has to do with the environment they were in, but also, personal choices because even tho one grew up in a shitty environment, they always have the choice to change and turn things for the better
