Why does California, Oregon, and Colorado, feel more open-minded than the East Coast?

Mostly because you've been brainwashed to think that it's more open minded. I've lived on the west & east coast. People on the west coast are more likely to pretend to be your friend & stab you in the back. People on the east coast are more likely not to even waste 1 minute pretending to be your friend and if you try to betray them they will stab you in the face.

Sure, if you're in a liberal area some things won't raise an eyebrow that might in a non-liberal area. But it's not all black & white (no pun intended). I've been to all kinds of places in the U. S. and there's no set rule on how people act for some things, really. You have to go there and experience it.

I am comparing big cities on the West Coast and Denver to NYC, and Philly, it has been more than clear that the East Coast cities have a darker element and you can kind of see it by the values towards cannabis, sexual education, etc. NYC has some communities especially from Hell's Kitchen to Lower Manhattan that reminds me of the West Coast but overall NY is much less open-minded than Los Angeles in my experience.

California leftists actually believe what they say. Eastern ones say it, but won't live with it. Illegal immigration, for example. California gets flooded just like Texas, Arizona, and Florida. The Left here embraces them. When illegals get dropped in DC or New York, or New England, those Leftists generally freak out.

The East coast has a deeper military tradition and that usually makes people overall more conservative because of how rigid it is
