Do you ever think about your past pets?

I had a cat for 6 years and it was only me and her. I loved her she was a lovely cat. But then I had to move to another country and couldn't bring her unfortunately. But I made sure to find her a great a home! Some months after I settled here in new country, they told me they had to kick her out because she wasn't behaving well. It broke my heart. Unfortunately my home country doesn't have any animal protection services, she has no chip, she's been a apartment cat ever since she was born, so she probably didn't survive long being stray on the streets. I felt extremely depressed and guilty for awhile. It's been 2 years since then and I still cry every time I see our old photos or remember something.

Yes, I think of my little girl often. She was the most wonderful cat and kept me from ending my life. She was all I had. She died on NY Eve while I was working at the hospital. I had just moved in with my girlfriend and my cat died like two months later. I had to leave the hospital because I was so emotionally distraught. When I finally got home and saw her I completely lost it. Like absolutely hysterical sobbing “oh my little baby, my little girl” and moaning. She was taken from me, I still miss her and think of her. She was a small grey cat, nimble, and she’d ride on my shoulder and perch there and nuzzle my neck. I’ve never had another pet, and I don’t know if I ever will. I some times think about getting a cat, but my life is too chaotic, I move around too much and God knows where I’ll end up. I miss her though, she was a good kitty cat, sweet. I really loved her terribly.

Yes. I had a hamster when I was 7. His name was Poppy (I know I named a boy hamster a girls name) and he lived 7 months. I still miss him.
