Have you thought about how the death of Queen Elizabeth represents the slow death of the WW2 generation and the 20th century?

Queen Elizabeth the second was involved in first aid services in WW2 as an 18 year old, she was probably the last WW2 involved person still involved in public life.

She was also probably the most famous person to be born in and live in the 20th century as Victoria was in her country.

Even though Victoria died in 1901 and the last person born in the 19th century died in 2018 her death was the symbol of the end of that century. I wonder if this will be as true for Elizabeth II.

I think that’s true, her death also represented the death of commitment and duty in society, remember on her 21sr birthday she swore a life of servitude to her people and even though she was rich and powerful she always was with her people in good times and bad, We really don’t have that mentality anymore in any walk of life hence why the west is in serious decline

When I was growing up all the guys that lived in my neighborhood were WW2 vets. These guys were all heroes. None of these guys are left. My friend's father died a couple of years ago at 96 he was the last of all those guys including my own father who was a POW.

Time slowly wipes everything away.
The last WWI veteran died in 2011.
The last person alive in the 1900s died in 2018.
The WW2 will probably die before 2040.
