Do you get offended easily?

Question

Yes/no? Why/why not? If you see someone wearing something “blasphemous” to your beliefs or says something you don’t agree with, do you say something or just let it go and go on with your day?

No, I do not. Literally only three things offend me: stupidity, cruelty, and mediocrity.

Stupid people ALWAYS really annoy me and it's hard for me to remain civil around a jerk who's also an idiot. (Just look at some of my responses on GAG; especially the political ones.) It's always been a thing with me since I was even young. Cruelty bothers me, such as hurting children, hurting a wife/husband, abusing animals.

And mediocrity is the third one, which many people can't understand. But I HATE "averageness," which is worthlessness to me. I don't respect mediocrity, nor do I value it. Mediocrity is what regresses the world and keeps stupid people stupid and cruel people cruel.

Few things beyond those three, bother me.

I think we all have our triggers. I consider myself a very even keeled person. Nothing gets me too up or too down, but I always try to keep a positive attitude. But I guess what chaps my ass is people who deliberately try to hurt others then try to justify it. And at times this site is rife with it. We've all had painful experiences and why would you take joy in making others feel the way some have made you feel? It's not revenge. The person you're doing it to had no personal hand in it. Hate begets hate. Rise above it and block those people. I guarantee you they're not happy. So by ignoring them and leaving them alone in thier cold, dark world, you've already won. It's a scientific FACT that kindness reciprocates go out there and shine your light to the world. :::: steps down off of soapbox::::🤣

No. I honestly can’t remember the last time I was ever offended about anything. I know people that are such miserable people that they wake up every morning pondering how they can get fake offended and ruin everyone else’s day. They never smile, and they suck the air out of every room that they enter. I don’t know how they can go through life like that.

No. I was at one point there where I'd get offended. 'How dare you say that' but I let that anger bottle up and I snapped. It's mainly just words and if you look into it, it's more pitiful than provoking.

I defiantly don't get offended easily and just go about my day. If I do happen to take offence, its if someone I care about has said something to offend me. for example if its a supposed friend. I try to remember that people who put others down usually have low self esteem and are just projecting onto others to make themselves feel better. as long as you are contended with yourself, other opinions shouldn't really matter.

Define "blasphemous." I can get pretty irritated; but taking action requires a bit more than just someone being *slightly* an idiot. Depending on the context, I might correct them, or I might do my best to ignore it. I try to save my worst venom for complete and total dirtbags. Everyone else, it's best not to get too hung up on them.

More than one person has commented that I am very tolerant. I am most inclined to think political beliefs are wrong but usually there is no point in arguing about as beliefs are usually fixed.
