Prostitution and escorting, are mostly, if not totally, untaxable. Why? They're illegal.

So, why is it that certain sex work is taxed, while others aren't.

You can't say "cause some are legal and some aren't". Cause if they were all taxed, they'd all be legal, right?

The government can only tax legal income.
Simply because any illegal income doesn't "exist", at least on paper, because if you were to pay taxes on illegal stuff, you would admit, you commited crimes and they send you to jail.

No, Prostitute are not the richest people on earth, because most of them are forced to sell their bodies, so 90% of their income goes to some member of the organized crime, human trafficking or something like this.

They would earn more if they simply had a regular job with taxes and everything.
