Why did some countries such as Israel and Canada decide to criminalize sex work, when it used to be legal in those countries?

Making conditions more unsafe for sex workers. It used to be legal and sex workers had protection, unions, and better health, in countries like Israel, and Canada.

Now that I'm older I think I get why it's illegal.

It seems to foster an attitude of disposability to relationships in general. Which kills the family unit and stunts the longevity of a nation's progress. If you can get what I mean.

Ironically, you'd think it's the men not dating woman that would come out of that, but so far as I can tell it's the woman deciding they'd rather just be prostitutes.

Legalizing prostitution I guess has the effect of blurring the lines enough that woman just see all these woman charging $2,000 to spend a weekend with them and then it's hard to look at your boyfriend who's a bartender or a manager somewhere the same way 😂

Woman don't even need to actually have sex with anyone or post themselves online to make a living.

I'm not blaming them just to be clear. If I was a woman, that's what I'd probably be thinking.

The average prostitute enters the prostitution trade at age 13 and the average prostitute dies at age 35. It’s a horrific way to make money and pimps get them addicted to drugs to control them. I heard over 40% of homeless teenagers are sold into prostitution within 48 hours of appearing on the street.
