Why dont wars resolve by a simple boxing match?

Presidents can choose their favorite boxers and make them fight to settle their issues. This way lots of lives will be saved.

I'm not sure that would work in the case of guys like Putin who wants to take over territory and kill everyone.

It would've been nice if Russia and the Ukraine could've just picked their hottest women and had a hot oil wrestling to decide who wins, but the Ukraine is far more important to it's people, and they're not gonna give up their land that easily. Putin wouldn't quit either if he lost.

War is horrible and it always get's carried away.

Best fighters of each army? Well like sports teams coaches would rather depend on strategy and balanced skills of a team. I imagine its the same for armies.
