Do you stand for the American pledge of allegiance and do you believe people should stand for it and the national anthem when sung at a public event?

I always stand for it. I did it in school everyday as a child and sung the pledge of allegiance that I still know by heart til this day. LOL

Not just for this country. I've been in foreign countries when that country's national anthem was played, and I stood and showed respect. That's the way it should be.

Jehovah's witness don't. When I was in school their was a girl who was Jehovah's witness and she was always standing in the hallway when the pledge in classroom every morning.

Back in Elementary School in the 60's we all automatically stood with our hands over our hearts and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. It was never a controversial act
