Yes, but I have noticed that some teachers took the flag down and hide it in the cabinet at work even though it is required by state law to be displayed in the classroom.
Why do they hide it
They are democrats. Those same teachers spread lies among the students from what I have personally witnessed. Those same teachers tend to treat Whites and men (male students) differently/worse than others and blame males and Whites for problems. Even the democrat men teachers do that. Of course I am in liberal California so the schools are pretty full of democrats that hate the USA and anything good.
I am a veteran I better get my ass up

Yes of course I do. Because I have to think back from way back when to this day and I stand for all the real politicians who took pride in America and they did what they thought was best I take pride in all the men and women in our armed forces that have been killed so we could do the things that we do here I take pride in all the people who built something when vented something to make us great I take pride for us all the little people who keep this country going knowing that our government is fucking us up somehow and taking us on a wild ride even though I don't like a lot of things that are going on today in this world that flag means something to me too many people have sacrificed and sacrificed over and over to make this country a better place there has been a lot of unsung heroes that we don't even hear of on the things that they have done to make this a better country so no matter how angry I get because where we're being led I will also protect that flag I will do whatever I have to do to make sure the kids today have a better tomorrow because of that flag and what it represents
Of course I do. And I stand for the national anthem too. Only morons are like "oohhh we have to kneel because...(reason)
Was it something about black people selling other black people as slaves after which white people freed the slaves and set them free
... I think it's something like that or something equally idiotic
No, I'm not a nationalist. When we had to do that propaganda in school, at the end, I'd stand up but I wouldn't cross my chest.
I'm grateful that I was born American but I see past blind faith. It would be naive for me to feel pride in something with a past and present I did not choose.
I get it, and i thank those who serve... but the state of the country as it is now is why i dont stand. I like my country, But not the oligarchy that runs it and is running it into the ground because they think middle class makes $500,000 a year. They are so out of touch with the reality because they believe if corporations are doing well, then the working class is doing well, so we can ignore the working class. Our government takes donations (bribes) and makes bills specifically made for those donators. They have already expressed how they feel about the working class and its obvious politicians think themselves nobles/royals.
I pledge not to blindly follow my country, but to work to guide it to a progressive future
Meh. I always feel like a trained monkey when I do. I don't like being manipulated, coerced, or subjected to pressure to conform.
I love this country. I'm quite familiar with its history, both wonderful and terrible.
My problem with the flag is when it's used to promote militarism and jingoism.
If you don’t like America feel free to leave. I’ll help you pack.
I have traveled to many different countries. America isn’t perfect nor ever will be. But honestly it’s overall the best when it comes to quality of life for a very populated and complex country.
If you call that the best quality of life, you have not traveled to many different countries.
So you think if a person doesn’t stand than he doesn’t like America?
Leftists often try to compare the USA to Nordic countries like Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, etc. I’ve been to Iceland. I’ve been to Germany. There are a lot of things I admired about both countries. I liked the cleanliness. I liked the fact that locals were very well education. I liked the organization and attention to not wasting energy. I liked the respect and attention to history. I liked how locals had good communication skills i. e. they usually let you speak their point and listen to you instead of interrupting you and thinking of what to say next.
With all that said many of these particularly the Nordic countries are very homogenous. They don’t have Mexico as a border. They might have seen immigration but nothing like the USA experiences. Nordic countries don’t have over 300 million people with very different cultural backgrounds and upbringings.
Bottom line is you can NOT compare the United States to a small “socialist” country (Denmark and Sweden really are NOT socialist). It’s not possible.
I do. Part of it is upbringing. Part of it is a mark of respect to the larger thing that is our nation. Part of it is my Military service. But, here's the thing: I wore the uniform so that I can stand and you can kneel. I genuinely believe you do you. I'm not offended by those who don't or won't stand for it.
I was the guy that didn’t stand for the pledge of allegiance So My guess would be no teacher didn’t like that I didn’t stand but there wasn’t anything she could do about it as It’s well within my constitutional rights to Not participate in pledge of allegiance
yes, for both of my flags...
why? because it meant a lot to my great-grandma and she always had both at her hacienda... brings me all kinds of good memories
@Msputiton sure thing... two Nathan flags and now a ship!! lol
@Msputiton you can bring your flags as well... we do have space, lol
@Msputiton we'll make it the main sail flag as well... lol
@Msputiton of course... lmao
Ey, i love the USA. fun as fuk and great place. But i only stood up because it was the thing we do in school. I'm not a kid anymore. I don't need to stand anymore because everyone else is standing. Nor do i need to pledge.
No.
First Commandment: I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other Gods before me. Swearing allegiance to the flag and the Republic puts both of those ahead of my allegiance to God
Also I'm not American
Sure, at the appropriate times, like when I was in school and we said the pledge and if the national anthem is being played at some event.
I would never "protest" the flag if that is what you are getting at.
I have been elsewhere and served in the army all that said they were leaving are still here so if you all are running down our country hoss you're standing on the fighting side of me for all the men and women that fought and died to keep us free so let's all stand-up and salute and ring the liberty bell
I find it to be an outdated ritual.
I like ''my'' place, or I don't - a rag on a pole will not make a difference to it.
I won't hurt the feelings of simple people, though. Well - kind of :)
Yes. My country to me is my mother. I do it willingly and feel proud in doing so. But just an advice for someone who does not. Well firstly it is pretty shameful. Secondly think about all the brave warriors that laid down their lives before us without thinking about them or their family for our country. If not anything can't we stand up and pay our respect at least for that cause?
Depends on the flag.
The American one, yes.
The Korean flag, probably.
The rainbow flag? Hell no!
Of course! I'm a proud American. Long live the United States of America! 🇺🇸
If it’s socially acceptable to take a knee, I don’t see why it couldn’t be socially acceptable to take a stand.
Because there are many people who died so I can have the freedoms I enjoy
I take no pride in Canada but I love Canadian people.
Yea we use to the pledge when I was in school.
Nope. The USA does not have my allegiance, it has not earned it.
I stand... it shows respect for my country and for those who died protecting it.
Yes, and I remove my hat. It is a show of respect.
It is more out of respect for the people that gave their lives so we could have the life that we have now!
I Stand tall
It’s not a piece of cloth.
its symbolic of what our nation could be.
I love the constitution and the country the founders built. I signed up for the military to defend that constitution. That's why I stand for it.
No. That’s idolatry. I worship the Lord who created the Universe, not a piece of cloth.
Yes. Its out respect for the country and the people that fought and died for it.
No because this country has never gave a shit about me and I’m not obligated to do anything
Would prefer not to. It's just a non living entity.
Yes. a lot of people died defending that flag.
I refuse to stand for the flag.
It's not something we do in the uk
That shit be brainwashing by stealth
No. I'm not American.
Was forced to do that in middle/high school.
That has never been a thing in the UK.
No it’s American propaganda.
Part of my upbringing.
No, that is a pointless gesture.
What flag? Why should I stand in front of it?
Nothing to be proud of there.
Negative.
Why not
Hello?
To show respect for my country
Always
Yes. Out of respect
Hell yes
