Crazy Chrissy is at it again, lol, trying to justify an emblem of that stands for nothing more than what is plainly laid out in the Cornerstone Speech by Alexander Stephens. It's a classic piece of racist trash, one of the most disgusting things I've ever read.
In fact, Hitler took some tips from the South and the treatment of blacks in America when creating his philosophy. If you haven't read it, there's a link below.

Southerners will try and tell you it represented their way of life, which was what? Rich white landowners and plantations full of slaves, working and being bred to produce more slaves? There were poor whites who could not vote because they didn't own land, Native Americans chased from their land, and indebted servants. It was classic "have and have-nots", and there was no in between.

Whatever you want to believe your heritage is, or your "flag" stands for Chrissy, you don't know a tenth of it. Try reading the speech and educating yourself to what the South was really all about.

The confederate flag is a cultural symbol of the southern people today, forged in the fire of the most dramatic event in southern history they shared.

It distinguishes Southern folk from the rest of theses united States and it is for that reason the north despises and tries to ban it.

Yet it is in all theses things speech, political and cultural at that, and for that reason Southern men have every right to it no matter how disagreeable others feel.

No. Regardless of what that flag might have meant to folks of the past, it has become a symbol of hate in modern society. So no, I don’t support it being displayed in any context. That said, I don’t support banning it outright though. You have to allow symbols and speech and ideas to exist, even if you don’t support what it represents. I’m not like one of these fascist republicans running around the country trying to ban books from libraries.

it's difficult to understand... the confederate flag was the south's flag... it may not be your history but it's their history... i lived in the south and everyone understood what it meant... not necessarily anti-black because i asked blacks about this and they understood... when it became vogue to destroy the past so did the conderate flag... all it is... is a flag if you think about it... and it was their flag at one time.
