Chinese is a very hard language to learn and most people cannot learn it because it's an accent based language and most people cannot correct their native accents. It also uses independent images for each word as opposed to other languages which are written with letters so looking new words up in the dictionary is impossible when you don't know how something is pronounced from the way it is written and if you can't read ordinary signs such as road signs or emergency exit signs, you are a danger to both yourself and others.

Does Chinese at least make sense with internally consistent grammar and usage? English is three languages stacked on top of each other where it’s somewhat difficult to tell which rules you’re playing by unless you grew up in it.

Chinese has a consistent grammar and usage but its characters are indecipherable for those who do not know how to read it and its pronunciation is very hard for foreigners. It's also a poor country that many do not want to immigrate to, unlike America or Britain which has many immigrants.

China being in the east aren't into the same international trade, economical or cultural unions as the west. Therefore as a member of these unions the west has to take in refugees and China doesn't. Also the human rights abuses in ww2 made it that there where a lot laws to the fair treatment of refugees or prisoners of war in the west. In ww2 China got destroyed by imperial Japan , so China slid out having to sign these laws. Modern China's government is known to be brutal and authoritarian , so the west isn't going to push to send refugee there.

Well China is not as charitable as the U. S, I mean they are just recently coming into some sort of prosperity as a nation, even though many people still live in poverty over there.. People in the West seem to be under the self righteous assumption that everything should be handed out to everybody freely, and that everything is some sort of right.. Plus people are free (for now) to express themselves out loud as they please for the most part..
