What is your opinion about nuclear weapons?

Deeply immoral. They are xenophobia literally weaponized. No population should be comfortable with the idea of their own government instantly evaporating millions of unknown men, women, children, pets, plants, other forms of wildlife, and infrastucture, and setting tens of millions more on fire to likely die in unimaginable agony. The fact that they exist purely as a flex is disgusting - like if we found an exercise or drug that made one's butthole so powerful it could crush diamonds so grown men walked around bent over and backwards to show theirs off. Rich thieves are the sole reason we can't have peace in this world and so we nonrich nonthieves should bend all of our efforts to keeping rich thieves in check. But they are too sparse for nukes to be useful against them and must be ousted on a case by case basis.

Mostly they're a weapon of intimidation and control to keep a hierarchy of order in the world, but they are capable of killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people at once (And have been used before) so to me they're an example of how humanity actually values control over human life.

I just looked into it, apparently a single nuclear weapon can destroy an entire large city killing millions. the use of several (Tens or hundreds) of nuclear weapons can actually disrupt the global climate causing widespread famine.

As with any weapon, it might have good uses (enough movies have been made about a stray asteroid, etc. to present that case) but the potential for planetary destruction is horrific.
