I dont think there will be much of a compromise, even if Russia doesn't manage to completely take over Ukraine. It seems Ukrainians are currently so vehemently against the Russians that the government is willing to push putin closer to nuclear war (although unlikely) than to surrender land and it seems putin likewise won't willingly concede any new land, especially what Russia has taken over recently. If Ukraine survives, it'll probably be pushed farther against Russia and won't really be "neutral" which is pretty understandable tbh.

Russia has been exposed as a (conventional) paper tiger. The conscripts are being given no training and are being told to get tampons from their wives or girlfriends so that if the conscript gets shot he can use one to fill the bullet wound.
