Spirograph is a rather uncommon device now largely obsolete due to computer.

It's rather hard to see a meaningful connection unless your going to claim that the decline in fatherhood has also led to a decline in mathematics and interest in the Spirograph.
But that's a bit of a stretch given the obscurity of the tool even for a communist to make.
