Which kind of place would you rather live in and what kind of life would you rather have?

Which kind of life would you ideally want to have?

Live in Anytown, USA, have a pointless job, likely have a spouse and kids, own your own two-story house, and possibly be happy, but never be remembered after death or contribute to society at all.

Live in an unimportant city, like Akron, Modesto, Gary, Winnipeg, Cleveland, or Philly, be at the bottom level of a major corporation, earn a middle class income doing an entry-level skilled, very easy job (secretary, security guard, janitor, data entry, concierge, etc), likely have a partner, possibly have children sometime in the future, rent in a one bedroom apartment, and possibly be remembered by friends and family after you die, based on how memorable you live your life.

Live in a major city, like New York, Toronto, London, Tokyo, or Seoul, have an important and lucrative job, no kids but having plenty of sex as an attractive single, have a penthouse apartment, and be remembered for decades or centuries after your death as a legend in your field.

Live in a small town with a family, be insignificant and cease to have existed after death, but have a peaceful life.

Live in a big town/insignificant city, be the bottom rung at a major company, earn a medium income, and possibly be remembered after death.

Live in a large major city as a single, be someone important and successful, have a lasting legacy after death.

i chose A. Having climbed the ladder before I was knocked off of it, I can tell you that even executives of big companies tend to be forgotten quickly after they are gone. Unless one is famous, the only people apt to remember him beyond two generations are descendants interested in genealogy. The big Western cosmopolitan cities are IQ shredders. Being “successful” without children just feeds the current elite. Building strong, stable communities whether or not one has children is something they hate. Clear them out!

@malwins Yes. We send many of our most people to cosmopolitan cities for long periods of training and set them on demanding career paths. The birth rates of these people tend to be far lower than average and the fruits of their labor are, with a few exceptions, mostly captured by the elites. This results in a brain drain effect on the countryside as well as nations from which capable people migrate. This is a common phenomenon of dying cultures. It happened during the latter stages of Greco-Roman culture and is happening to the West now.

I don't care too much about leaving a legacy behind, as long as I'm happy whilst I'm alive.

Option A would probably provide me with happiness, as you did mention a peaceful life, which sounds close enough compared to the other options, although I haven't voted, as I'm unsure and I don't think having kids would make me happy.

If I wanted to be remembered, which I'd prefer in general, I'd rather be be remembered as someone who was simply a nice, caring person.

Lol none, don't need to be remembered or do anything for society to be remembered for, don't want a wife or anymore kids. Cause I already have one. And I don't want to travel outside of the US in this current climate and at the age i am at now, Or even live on the east coast I been there not my Forte, I'm gonna die and Retire in Cali & Modesto is a pos small town of shit town full of crackheads and gangs.
