No one is forcing churches to marry gay couples and who would want to be married in a backward church that has the same thinking from the middle ages.

Christianity persecuted homosexuality when the mortality rate was high and life expectancy was short, thereby ensuring that women gave birth to enough men to maintain a stable society as well as having an army to go to war.

Today, the birth rate in Asia and Europe is low, but outlawing gay marriage would not solve the demographic crisis, because less than 10% of men are gay, and while 38% of American women are bisexual, fewer 15% are exclusively lesbian.

It would be more effective to make the contraceptive pill illegal.

Religious or non-religious and even gay people, why do people want to control and micromanage the lives of others?

Your average Christian does not hate homosexuals, they just believe they do not live the lifestyle the bible recommends for happiness and health. A small group of extremists persecute them, but normal Christians are kind and compassionate towards them but honest about their disagreements if asked. This does not mean we will treat them like trash if they do not try to change themselves.
