It is not republicans or democrats who run the show.
The establishment is a network on MNCs, global NGOs, military industrial complex, global media, silicon valley, wall street, etc... now if their interests are affected negativity. Then you know what happen to Trump, will happen to anyone, even Biden.
So if McCarthy is compliant to establishment then it might be a possibility, but Biden is the best lapdog that establishment can get. So they will continue till his term or find a new lapdog...

An impeachment isn't a removal. That has to clear the senate with 67 votes. And if quid pro quo actually caught by witnesses and backed by sworn testimony didn't get 67 votes, whatever fake thing the dopey Republicans in congress come up with isn't going to, either.

Yeah. Honestly I don't think they will anyway. Because it would be a sham impeachment, Biden would be innocent and so he surely would have no objection to showing up to give whatever testimony they ask. By itself it's no big deal but it might remind some critical mass of casual republicans that Trump refused to testify: his claims that it too was a sham impeachment being demonstrated by Biden, by showing up, as all the more reason to testify to clear his name - suggesting the obvious, that Trump was lying about his impeachment being a sham. I don't know that any legitimate moderates were tricked into believing trump's first impeachment was a sham, but if so Biden's cooperation in an actual sham impeachment should disperse that particular fog.
Can you name a moderate Republican in the Senate, in deeds, and not claims? I can't think of a single Senator other than possibly Romney, and at least on the subject of Trump, Liz Cheney.
She has shown some promise to think on her own at times, but ultimately, she's not convinced me yet.
Unlike the two times Trump was impeached, there won't actually be a crime involved.
