Does free speech give you the right to be an asshole?

Republicucks (as I like to call them), believe that having the freedom of speech, allows them to be fucktards (as I also like to call them). Is this right? Do people really have the ability to be assholes, simply because of free speech THE FIRST AMENDMENT

The internet has given loads of these people the "courage" to behave like that while they sit behind their screens at home. Before the internet they might be likely to face some rather immediate consequences. They still can on the web if they are bad enough, but in general, yeah they're free to be really vile creatures and say really heartless things... very sad there are so many people like this.

Now the Republican Party appears to be following his lead in the desire to hold power legally or illegally. It's a precarious time for the USA

It's what Democrats have been doing for the last decade or more. They spew hate and then whine about hurt feelings when anyone disagrees with them. It channels ideas into a non-violent medium rather than to action and war. It's easier to talk than it is to kill everyone.

In the US you can say whatever you like. Other people are free to disassociate from you if they find your speech obnoxious. Private entities like Facebook and Twitter are equally free to censor speech on their platform.
