I'm not calling out liberals or conservatives and I'm not here to start a liberal vs conservative war, because even I do this sometimes, why is it that everyone loves free speech but when someone is critical of free speech, we try to limit what they are saying.
Free speech is great when people make a fair point or it's used to get things out in the open. As the saying goes sunlight is the best disinfectant.
But the problem is it's often just used to abuse for the sake of abusing. We see people bang on and on about the same things directing their bile at another group for no other reason than it makes them feel good.
Because no country is an anarchy there are always limits to anything to guarantee a safe living for all people. If you want an absolute free speech you an anarchy because an anarchy is the only government where there is no ruling power so there is no one could say that you´re wrong or dangerous.
While in an republic or a democracy the common good is the most precious fundament and therefore anyone that attacks it, gets attacked or taken away.
