Why are roommates addicted to showers?

Honestly! Especially someone like myself who hates water, it's amazing how roommates have to be in the shower for at least a half hour EVERY day! And this is both girls AND guys by the way. Like how long do guys need to be in there for, and girls who use the excuse that they shave their legs everyday, you know you can keep turning the shower off and on you know? :D My god, it's like I have a constant waterfall I get to listen to everyday!! It's so wasteful for the environment.

Mine is in the shower at least 50 minutes in one session. I know man scaping takes some time, but he took long showers before he started man scaping.
Then, on top of the shower he will sit in the bathtub for 45 minutes, on his cellphone, while the warm water is only going on his feet. I keep telling him we are in a severe drought out here, but he doesn't care.
When he's in the shower I come in and say "All right, everyone outta the pool".

If they do it first thing in the morning after they wake up, chances are they are using it to wake up. I take longer ones first thing in the morning but not that long and if I am fully awake, I am far faster.

I think half an hour is a bit much, I usually like to go to 10 minutes but not much more than that. I think some people just like to relax in there though, and it’s not the worst way to relax.

Some people like to be clean. For me the shower is solitude, I get some time to gather myself and contemplate the days events. Now I rarely take showers that last half an hour; I do have hot long showers when I’m completely exhausted. And by hot I mean I wait for lava and it gets hard to breathe lol.

I like long showers.. they are soothing. And i have soap allergies so use the excuse to need to rinse longer. Sharing showers with a partner is fun too. Saves water.

I use to be Guilty of having long Showers when I was younger I use to get told by my Parents to have a shorter Shower eventide I had one, Now I think everyone's having a longer Shower than me.
