Trending & News Racism has been around for 1000s of years. This is a bit like asking someone how the Wapshilla Ridge volcanic eruptions from 15 million years ago has affected their life. Racism has been woven into the air black people are born breathing in, but so diluted no one can tell how it effects them. White people too, actually. I can't speak for black people but I have some firsthand knowledge on how racism against black people has damaged white people. Too many of us are too easy to manipulate into voting against our own self interests just by telling us it is also in black people's interests.
The "welfare queen" trope, for example: I don't know how that affects black people but the overwhelming majority of people on welfare are white and so voting against it only hurts themselves.
Or the BLM thing. A lot of white people get a savage sort of satisfaction from cops killing black kids but seem to overlook the fact that the same impartial system we allow to be bent around letting the cops get away with it means cops will be allowed to kill our kids, too.
Education: its stupid that education is tethered to property taxes while things like war and farm subsidies are not. But white people go along with keeping this one reliable mechanism we have for lifting people out of poverty out of our reach just to also keep it out of reach of black communities.
We deny ourselves a lot of things we should have, just to deny black people getting it, too. It's maddening. Who can say how civilized both races could be if just white people broke the cycle and started really busting the balls of the scattered racists among us.
I agree but a lot of people would downvote me.
I went anon to protect my reputation.
Just look at the amount of racism on GaG. I would say that it is a tad bit more here than what I have experienced outside in the real world. But it is comparable.
Why do people care about Ahmaud Arbery but not blacks raping and killing white women?
For the ahmaud arbery question I think they dont wanna say anything race related to it its not considered ok in contemporary society but they could also not call it out to not be called racist or to be woke or to be respecful or something but black guys can get in trouble for raping white girls and they often do but they could also get away with it and play the race card to get out of an allegation, and white girls could make false rape allegation, this kind of situation can lead to weird racial tensions.
White guys raping black girls can lead to racial tensions as well.
Im not gonna say one is better or worse, there both equally bad and no one should make up excuses
So that's what I mean.
That is just a racist nonsensical trope. Race is mythology. It is a fantasy.
1. "Black" guys? Who is a "Black" guy in your racist nonsensical theory? Is it guys who fit a phenotype? Is it specifically African-American men?
2. And we are supposed to believe in a nation that warehouses "Black" males, "Black" men routinely get away with raping "White" women, when there are no statistics or evidence to support this. There is just the traditional racist narrative, that somehow "Black" men are getting illegal access to "White" women. Something handed down through centuries of insane racist batshit theory.
3. So that's the racial tension. It is about "White" incels who can't get laid. . . therefore it is a "Black" dude's fault. "Black" males have to be locked up. Because other "Black" males may or may not have raped a "White" women. Which is supposed to be the property of the "White" incels.
Dude, your imagination is the excuse.
I can be racist. . . because I imagine "Black" guys get away with raping "White" women.
Not as much as society and the media portrays. Racism IS an issue! It's out there, and contrary to what people on here say, there are racists out there; they're just hiding behind their computer screens and phones, while they smile and lie in your face in real life.
I face more racism online than in person, but we all know why: there's little to no repercussions for acting that way online compared to in person. That is why I tend to detach myself from online and not post too much of my real life online: less fuel for people to use against me.
As a black person, I already have a ton of negative stereotypes against me because I'm black. Even if they're not true, people will still assume the worse: I'm loud, ghetto, out of shape, uneducated, etc... because I'm a black woman. Even though we as a community have evolved so much over the years, a few bad eggs will ALWAYS represent the community, rather than the good.
