Yes, it is. The only real way to get your own place is with money. And you usually only get money in a good economy, unless your parents are rich. If you have low income, no savings, bad credit score, and debt, it's REALLY hard to get your own place. I had the first two of those, which is why I wasn't able to permanently move out of my mom's house until 28. I did so before then, but could not sustain it. That's what happens when you're broke and try to move out before you're ready; it usually won't last very long.
