Of course its never about you, it never was. Thats why Twitter gave blue checkmarks the ability to only have approved users answer their posts to avoid the poor blue checkmark users seeing comments they didn't like.

Sigh. What do pharmaceutical companies tell you that they're selling? (They spend far too much money on advertising telling you what they're selling, but they have products.)

They tell you they're selling pharmaceuticals. Social media site tell you they're doing one thing, but actually doing something completely different.
