Why is it that the cities, states, countries, that are the most entertaining, or have the best quality of life, had the most strict vaccine mandates?

When I think of traveling for good food, entertainment, and places that are less boring than normal I think of San Francisco, NYC, Amsterdam, Paris, I hope I don't even visit some places like Omaha, Houston, and the places that are the best had the most strict mandates why is that?

Sounds like you just culturally align with those places doesn’t mean anything you said is true. But nothing is wrong with it either. I’ve lived in several of those places lived on the road for several years to. and the flavor, and ingredients, variety really not much difference than let’s say Lexington Kentucky or Nashville Tennessee, Atlanta Georgia, maybe Milwaukee Wisconsin a little behind but winters up there are different.
The theaters while large by far I’ve seen better stage performance’s in Massachusetts.
And all those places have less homelessness and more affordable cost of living. I’d say that’s a huge win for the quality of life arguments.

However you’re definitely not going to experience all these things the same as you would in San Francisco vs. Dallas. And that’s ok it’s what makes America so great every city has its own culture that really you can only appreciate if you have actually travelled to these places and experienced it.
I’ve also done a lot of international travel and some of the biggest names in tourism have been my least memorable.

Big business runs a significant portion of our country. And they’ve lost billions to Covid. That’s why the conspiracy theories are stupid.

And like New Zealand, we could've bunked earlier, vaxxed efficiently and been out of lockdown sooner and back to making money.

This is not strictly true. Florida is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world and there are no vaccine mandates. You can also look at Nashville and the Outer Banks in South Carolina to find other places with no vaccine mandates.
