I would abolish Capitalism and institute harsh punishments for corruption and false accusations and the killing of unborn children.

+1 yWhen people start to date and or prior to making offspring, they take required parenting classes from people who are successful at parenting. New parents would have mentors.
Kids would get discipline by parents and schools to keep them on track.
Specialiazed schools for empathetic people so they aren't predated upon by the others, reducing emotional damage.
People (both male/female) who commit abortion are beaten, prisoned, and retrained unless it was for defense of the mothers life. If they fail the training, then the failing party is "fixed", male or female, upon the next abortion so we avoid that scenario again. Treat them like animals if that's how they want to behave, which is frankly, an insult to other animals because most of them aren't that sick.
Training for people dating, and mentors/therapists to limit the number of casualties from dating.
Politicians have to pass a civics test before becoming one. They also must serve 1 years in military.
Govt is restricted in how much they can inflate/print.

Smart people rule, but the most caring and compassionate can veto them in checks and balances. One side is full of intelligent logical thinkers (probably almost entirely men) and the other side is full of proven autists and those who actually have heart and compassion (probably almost entirely women). You get ahead by meritocracy and accomplishments to benefit the species. There are no shortcuts like nepotism, favoritism, ass-kissing, or office politics. Capitalism would very much be a thing in my society. Those who intentionally and willfully seek to break these rules are punished by death.
I'd off myself if I had to live in your society, to be honest. That sounds like a Dystopia to me, especially the no bodily autonomy part. Every single part of that society would be run with corruption based on the other contradictory rules you instituted. That basically sounds like 1984, in my opinion. But we all have our fantasies.

+1 y- Most things would be privatized except the military (so we can at least work on keeping a strong military). Charities and volunteer work would heavily be promoted in communities
- Most taxes would be eliminated except sales and ESPECIALLY tariffs on exports.
- would add death sentences for violent criminals, cheaters (anyone having sex outside a monogamous relationship), false accusations (so I kind of agree with you there), and other things. For the most part, jailtime wouldn't be an issue. If you committed an offense, you get executed.
- Both partners wouldn't be allowed to work and, if women were encouraged to work, they would have to take the more difficult jobs (like in finance or engineering). Having a family should honestly be encouraged more and having 4-6+ kids as well. I don't know if I would make it a punishable crime if some didn't have 6 kids by their 30s though.

Other things I would add; education would also be privatized and focused on actual matters (and not whatever it's on today), abortion would be legalized in all cases as long as the woman ends up actually having her family, the same for different sexual orientations (so gay rights), people would be free to own guns (similar to Florida and texas law), and certain things that would have previously been shamed (like weight and slutiness) would continue being shamed
WITHIN reason.
I would ban judging people stop watching others and notice ur own mistakes, parenting lasses, mandatory therapy for everyone no exceptions, everyone can make their own decisions as long as it doesn't affect someone else (death or harm) so you don't have to care about what people think, Chastity belt that only opens from consent from both sides or when you gotta pee, prioritize building everyone up , no military for sure, revise sentences for crimes and parents couldn't force people into unhappy careers.

+1 yFree basic food, water, housing and funerals for everyone
Ideally, I would completely eliminate the need for "income" and would instead revert back to a bardering and favor for a favor system. I don't think it's fair that someone should have less opportunities because of their income
Lastly, everyone would walk around naked

+1 yI Don't know exactly. I need time to think about this. Say for example a woman is raped what is the punishment for the rapist? She has the baby because she doesn't want to face harsh punishment. What happens to the rapist? This is contingent on definitely guilty of rape. I'm curious because I believe it's really difficult to make laws. I imagine punishment to fit the crime probably a hard thing to get agreement on if starting over. Seriously asking not trying to poke holes.

+1 ySocialism but not communism there is a difference people

@lottiebannotie
What is the actual true difference? (I'm legitimately asking here.) - +1 y
No repression can still be voted out no suppression of religion ( if that's your thing don't care personally) no getting stuck in the back of a motor for disagreeing slightly higher taxes for better public services but not going bankrupt for having the audacity to get cancer
- +1 y
@hottiebannotie The main difference is that under communism, most property and economic resources are owned and controlled by the state (rather than individual citizens); under socialism, all citizens share equally in economic resources as allocated by a democratically-elected government.
- +1 y
@lottiebannotie
But Socialism results in the same outcome. It's just "Communism on paper" as opposed to *actual* Communism in real life. The rich essentially aren't rich, there is no incentive to work harder or be a productive member of society because you'll benefit being hard working or extremely lazy either way, and and those who do the most work, get punished the most. As well as the heavily implied environment of conformity and not being allowed to have differing opinions or mindsets because "that's bad for the community."
I thought that was just the same thing as Communism in theory, without full totalitarianism? I don't understand. Can you explain it more to me? - +1 y
If you don't work you don't survive or at least it's minimal public services paid for by taxes benefit everyone not shareholders
- +1 y
@lottiebannotie
But in Socialism, wouldn't you have infinite welfare and free services to survive for as long as you need? Hell, we have that in Capitalism right now, basically.
If you have to work to survive, let alone live luxuriously, then that's Capitalism. Right? - +1 y
No but I wouldn't expect to be understood by an American no disrespect I grew up with nothing I've achieved a certain status against all the odds but I would give it all up to live in a honest socialist state just because I wasn't supported or given a leg up but still made it doesn't mean things don't need to change ( by the way the welfare state just keeps the poor where the rich want them now that's capitalism)
- +1 y
@lottiebannotie Based on contemporary examples (East Berlin vs. Iceland for instance) in implementation and practice they are not the same thing. Capitalists, Fascists, and authoritarians will lie and tell you they are because they want control and resources and want to get those things by depriving and exploiting others.
- +1 y
It's all divide and conquer to keep the elite where they've been for centuries what's ever really changed?
- +1 y
Where do you feel it's been implemented correctly?
- +1 y
Iceland and Denmark maybe Sweden don't make me laugh
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIf I could change anything, I'd give them 100x more critical thinking skills and 100x more willingness to admit when they're wrong. I'd also give them high enough levels of empathy or sympathy to stop being so self serving, and to not irrationally look down on others for certain things.
10 ReplyThe complete opposite of what you'd do. I would do FULL capitalism, whereby we decide exactly how we want our tax money to be distributed. Obviously as a woman I would like the right to have an abortion

Would be nice if racism just disappeared and color wasn't a strong determining factor in who people dated anymore

+1 yCapitalism is the freedom of 2 people to exchange between each other. You can't ban that. Good thing you don't get to decide anything because that would be a very bad dictatorship.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yWhy would you abolish capitalism? Human society lacked capitalism for most of its history. Those times weren't pretty! Even today it's the parts of the world that DON'T embrace capitalism that are unmitigated hell holes.
