Is it fair to expect men to do some of the domestic chores and child care taking if women are paying some of the bills?

Traditional men are extinct as men today of all ages lack the want and skills to be providers. And to be fair, in today’s economy, it’s hard to rely on one person to pay for everything and provide all of the finances. So since men aren’t doing that anymore, isn’t it a reasonable ask for men to help make dinner, clean, and take care of children if a woman is helping financially support the home? It’s only fair right or am I wrong?

Sure, you do oil changes and fix brakes on the family vehicles, mow lawns, trim trees and bushes around the house, fix appliances when they break, take out the garbage, fix the plumbing, do home construction/remolding, move heavy boxes, get things off off high shelves, etc. right? Men have always worked around the house. What has changed is all of women's chores have been automated with clothing washers, dish washers, clothing driers, electric and robotic vacuums, food processors, electric ovens, refrigerators, etc. I'm surprised women are still complaining about the little they have left.

Everyday chores and every now and then chores are not the same no matter how hard you try to prepare. And to answer your question, my father taught me how to do all that so what excuse do you want to come up with now?

Cooking, cleaning, getting the crying baby early in the morning, changing diapers, making lunches, taking kids to school, feeding baby, etc. Dad will help with all of that.

Doesn’t matter. Men need to be involved fathers. If a woman is providing any income AT ALL, the man needs to help in other areas as well. A woman should not do 150% of her role while the man does 50% of his role. This is exactly what’s wrong with men today. Half ass effort and that’s why women are happier without them.
