Bankruptcy doesn't mean “out of business” its just a law that protects corporations and individuals from creditor’s suing them into oblivion, or the competition acquiring them in a “hostile takeover” by buying both their debt and their stock for pennies on the dollar, while the company desperately tries to reorganize the company its’ self and its’ finances. That’s why it’s known as filing for bankruptcy protection. FYI, GM filed for bankruptcy in 2007 and their stock is higher now than it was before the bankruptcy. Washington mutual filed for Bankruptcy in 2008, as did Lehman Bros, and they are doing great now. They are super useful if you for example wanted to drive publicity and PR towards your other companies but Twitter itself was never going to recover the 44 billion dollars Elon spent on it.
Trying to make it more profitable was probably a mistake in itself. Better to use it as a tool than convert it into gold and in turn make it useless.

If you want it to truly be a free speech platform, that would REQUIRE the government to recategorize such entities and regulate them to ENSURE speech is protected.
