This video is tad off topic, but it's another prime example of why I support Musk's purchase of Twitter. Supply information, and let the general public decide for ourselves. John Stossel is the man as usual. Also, full disclosure: I don't even really care for Musk as a businessman for the most part. I find his vehicles to be over-priced and over-hyped. However he's on point when it comes to free speech.

I agree with you 100% about free speech. I think 1st amendment rights should be enforced upon al social media and telecommunication corporations. Fuck their rights as private companies and their political ideologies.

You're probably correct. Musk's motivation is likely far more convoluted than he's letting on. However he's still a better option for running Twitter than Dorsey, who believes that he's a deity when it comes to promoting and burying news stories. I also half agree with your last paragraph. Owners of private digital companies shouldn't have the ability to force their political beliefs or censorship onto the general public, but they do have the ability to implement legally enforceable (non-political and non-censorship) rules and regulations on their employees (dress code, sharing research and development outside of the company, drug and alcohol policy, etcetera).

Well I'm not really familiar with those theories concerning Musk, but he definitely does have his spoon in many pots at the same time. He sort of reminds me of a richer and more technologically advanced version of Robert Moses (if you're familiar at all with 20th century New York City infrastructure history).

It may very well be smoke and mirrors by Musk. However Musk is still a better option to run Twitter than Jack Dorsey, who believes it's his responsibility to choose what is and what isn't newsworthy for the general public. Also, Dorsey's beard looks like a place Murder Hornets would build a nest.
