The sexual allegations are almost certainly overblown; nobody with a shred of a case for sexual misconduct against one of the richest men in the world settles for $250,000, plus the timing screams political smear campaign.
The Twitter deal is somewhat complicated. When first questioned about Bot accounts, the company claimed 5%, but apparently everybody who actually used Twitter laughed at that number as being way too low, and the discovery that about half of the US President's followers are fake accounts has really sent the story into a spiral. The most likely outcome is that the real data will never see the public light, but Elon will still go through with the deal at a reduced price, and it's also likely that many of Twitter's advertisers will take them to court over falsifying user numbers if they have a case to make. When Musk is actually in control, the company will quietly purge most of the unverifiable accounts while running some marketing campaigns to try and convince more people to return to, or start using Twitter. Even if Elon backs out of the deal, he has already successfully destroyed whatever remained of the platform's reputation anyway, and he would lose a lot less than they would. He'd then shift his efforts towards another outlet, the most popular speculation being Netflix.
Sexual allegations are like piss. Anybody can make some and unlike piss, many don't hold water. Regardless, they are unlikely to impede the sale.
Musk has discovered that up to 50% if Twitter's users are fake/bots. It's possible he won't buy it at all unless he can get a count of valid users. And that count will be keyed to the price he pays. If he doesn't, look to him to sue Twitter into bankruptcy for attempted fraud.
The Dims are blocking the sale because they are terrified of free speech. The Dims hate free speech, and they love riots if it serves their purpose. We've all seen this. The Dims pretended to hate January 6th, but they loved the hundreds of riots where people were killed. China installed the dumbest American president in history, and the Dims just go along with it. They're still waiting for their free college tuition. lol
What a bunch of dumb fucks.
It would be good to have a free speech platform. However, Twitter's management lied about the number of bots and other fake accounts. Advertisers pay based on the number of people. Since there are fewer people they will pay less. Therefore, he is not getting what he bargained for and Titter has less value.

I think that in general accusations sexual misconduct and even racism do need to be completely researched and some prof needs to be put forward. Because we tend to have a instant reaction to them that is purely based on the emotions these allegations provoke. So it can be a quick way to discredit someone or shutdown a conversation.
The ugly truth is that it's a common practice that has been increasingly used. We also see this being used when it comes to political and social debates when people are quick to call a person a phobe or claim a person is racist. Simply because a given person does not agree with another. Of course this wouldn't be such a major issue of people would simply agree to disagree and leave it at that. But it seems like for many people that simply isn't a option. So the unproven accusations simply start flying out of peoples mouth.
Probably yes, though at a lower price given findings regarding spam/bot accounts. The allegation isn't going to impact him in any meaningful way unless evidence is presented, but that's not likely. This has markers as being another falsehood, peddled to derail someone the political left dislikes.
I'm actually excited to see how this turns out. Elon has a tendency of taking meaningful action against those who wrong him.
It was all a bluff from the start anyway. He's doing his usual market manipulation bullshit to try and lower the price for himself. It's his playbook. He's just another inheritance baby that's never actually done anything but buy other people's work and take the credit for it. Why people think this man is a genius and crusader for anything other than putting more money into his own pockets is beyond me.
there's always allegations of sexual misconduct around every rich or famous man. that's how bitches make money these days. by sueing wealthy men and hoping that the biased legal system rules in their favor.
Aren't you a bit late? He already bought it last month.
Isn't it funny how all the crooked people walk away clean and have no allegations tossed at them at all but the ones that ARE clean get accused of EVERYTHING!!
First off, because google is full of bullshit and I'd have to wade through dozens of pages of hits before I found what I was looking for.
Secondly, because it was already announced ON THE REAL NEWS, ABOUT A MONTH AGO that he DID buy Twitter! Maybe YOU should try doing some research instead of spreading lies!!
And, I'm not a child! I don't believe all the bullshit the media spews, like you kiddie winkies!!
Wanna bet the sexual misconduct is a political move against him?
The liberal play book in action! First he was a "visionary" for the future of green energy. He was adored by the left and media. Then, with the threat of their propaganda machine being taken away, like clock work, he's a "racist", he's a "fascist", he's a "threat to democracy", and finally, he's a "rapist". The easiest job in the world as to be a democratic strategist.
It's a way to high price tag for the company. It's a complete waste buying it, he can build a better app and pull users to it for a small fraction of the cost.
I really don't "get" it as to why he wants to be involved with Twitter. He is a science and techno visionary and I think his time and energy and money would be better spent elsewhere.
Amber Heard has made similar allegations I believe. Amazing how these claims hold so much power. Whether they're real or not. If they're real then he deserves to do the necessary dues. But if it's another Heard situation then fuck
It doesn't matter if people are accusing him of sexual abuse when he has over $100 billion.
Why do you think the allegations came up? It only took 48 hours for "sexual misconduct" to surface.
Dude offered like 20 million$ to suck his dick. I would make his eyes roll to the back of his head, ngl.
I doubt it
