I wonder if I should open a Twitter account after Elon Musk buys it, if he does. What are some of you thinking about the future of Twitter?

Years ago I deleted my Facebook account and all the apps associated with it. The drama is gone and all the spying.
Twitter was also a drama fest so I decided not to touch it or any other social media. In fact GaG is the first one I have bothered with in ages.
I am contemplating a Twitter account if Elon acquires it. Would like to hear some opinions on it. And since I also agree with free speech, I want to hear you roar if you feel so inclined. Will read every comment because I asked in sincerity.

I've never really seen the point of Twitter. I mean, it's basically just a space where people with something to sell can promote their products, so I get why *they* would use it - but what's in it for anyone else, including the potential buyers of those products?
Getting a Twitter account is like buying a TV just so you can watch the commercials.

Do we need that? Are WE (as individuals) so precious for society that everyone MUST know what we think about when we are feeling bored while we are sitting on the toilet?
