The country is finished over a dictator who everyone in urban Russia hates. Decades of isolation and economic decline will happen in Russia over a war nobody really wanted.

Asker+1 yRussia had an amazing tech scene, that will be ruined. Science, medical discoveries down the drain. The sanctions will add up. Say that to someone who had to pack up their stuff without notice to avoid the draft leaving their wives, children, parents, behind.
- +1 y
why do you say this? the ruble is doing fine. it's actually going up. war always fires innovation. it historically always did. maybe there's gonna be a short dip but long term it's not bad. america knows that best. they've done that forever. go fuck some poor ass country every now and then and your economy is growing. why is that suddenly bad when russia or china do the same thing? xD
- +1 y
i guess the difference is that china and russia didn't supply afghanistan or iraq with weapons so they can fight america back, like usa is doing int he war between ukraine and russia now. so i think usa is actually worse xD
- +1 y
cause they're actively prolonging the war in ukraine, profiting from the war under the guise of "helping" the ukraine.
Asker+1 yThe US did not draft people to Afghanistan and the US is a very fucked up country with serious problems. You have no idea the hell that the Russian people had to go through for something they never agreed with. Tell that to the wives who lost their husbands, to the people who lost their jobs because companies pulled out of Russia.

"The US did not draft people to Afghanistan"? well how did they fight the war against alquaide the last 20 years then? xD you think roughly 400.000 afghan people civilians agreed being murdered by US troops? i'm not saying that the situaiton in ukraine isn't horrible. i'm just saying that USA is as bad or worse than russia. cause how many countries has USA fucked in the last decades? and how many did russia fuck up?
russia had 14 involvements in wars since 1990. some of them were the war on terrorism that usa was part of. usa was involved in 18 wars since 1990...
Asker+1 yEconomically the US is doing better than Russia. The US did not need to draft people. The long term effects of this are not. https://www. wsj. com/articles/departure-of-tech-workers-weighs-on-russian-economy-11668172429
Asker+1 yThe future of Russia is not positive in this direction. It effects the EU, everywhere also.
- +1 y
yeah economically the us is doing better than russia since forever. but since the war in ukraine, russia is doing better than before.
oh now i got what you mean. yeah usa doesn't have to draft people. they have enough crazy idiots that can't wait to point a gun at someone. - +1 y
As a US citizen we didn't draft ANYONE for the war in Afganistan. That was mostly just volunteers. The full force of US military power if we ever did get to such a point. Would most likely flatten most first world countries. If it ever got to that point. As US would probably have 10 to 100 times the man power on the ground and using the long range weponry. The world essentially has seen the US at full power like only twice and that was back when the US had a third of the military we have today.
But as to the topic at hand US's economy isn't great either but its far from the worst we have had. Russia on the other hand is visably limping along as 1000's of personel have basically ben abandoned by the international companies outside of Russia. - +1 y
@Pyrofox yeah i already said america has enough sick bastards waiting to shoot someone. They don't need to draft people. But Russia is surely not limping. Look at the link I posted. They had a short dip but are now doing better than before the war started. Which is still worse them USA or most western countries but still better compared to Russia before.

Russia's issue is most of its economy is pretty much an ice Berg. It looks good only cause everything is getting government aid to some degree. They already had to default on military bonds...😐 If you ask me Russia is very much struggling... Especially if you look at what they invest in when it comes to the government...

Russia is definitely limping mate the military in Russia can't keep its soldiers beyone 1-2 years. Most of its leadership HAVE zero clue what those on the ground are doing. Russia's leadership has about 40 Admirals and or Generals than a single Srg's or Lt's, And thats not even getting to the fact they are giving their quote MOST ADVANCED Multirole jet fighters "dummy bomb's aka unguided bombs. For a country that is considered the SECOND most powerful overall military its hard to believe they are struggling against 22nd most power ful military that has mostly retired VETRANS from the US military that most haven't seen combat in 1 to 5 YEARS.
In the current state the EU and US could squash Russia and its military in a day if they actually mobilized full escalation.

Maybe they have a leader that has somehow made and error in judgement and went down the wrong path. There is a lot of that going around these days.

Ah so you’re okay with regime change and don’t believe other nations should have a say in their leadership. 👍
I’m guessing you were for the Iraq War then? - +1 y
Would you have been happy to hear the crazed despot Lenin died of a stroke? It's not like his successor was an improvement. Removing something bad only makes things better if its replacement is a step up.
Ignoring this is exactly how we GOT Putin in charge in the first place. - +1 y
Some would say your incitement to violence is a very 🇬🇧 thing, @EmmaMary.
The 🇬🇧 has always been a colonial power. Your people were known for doing wonderful things to Africans, Asians and Native-Americans.
Wonderful things that today are known as genocide and crimes against humanity.
By the way, I've heard that the Iraqi people love you for the good things you brought to them. I hope those good things were not death, misery and rape because we know the British military would ***never*** do that, right?
Most of you Brits support Israel, all human rights agencies around the world state that Israel is an apartheid state just like pre-1994 South Africa, but who cares, right?
Some would say you Brits try to hide your bloodthirsty nature behind self-righteous appeals to "democracy" as if we were born last night and don't know who you are.
I disagree, though. I think you Brits are angels in human form. A really pious, trustworthy and generous people that ***hate*** wars, hatred and violence.

If you wanna know the future, ask me.
I tell you, both Russia and the European Union are the losers and they're going to get poorer because of the war.
The US is trying to poach Europe's talents and industries, in the short-term, but it's pointless at this point. There's nothing we can do to stop China from global hegemony and we will never catch up with China when it comes to production, education and infrastructure.
