I know somebody in Russia, in Kazan.
He say the sanction are not a big deal for him, the life is the same misery like before the war.
There are way less western product, but you can still finde in big shops 25% of the products that use to be before, because Russia buy them from country like Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, Belarus and others.
The gas and gasoline price are growing but not in a scary way, but is becoming more and more visible to see lines of cars at the gas stations.
He say the Russian passport is toilet paper now for good countrys from Europe and America or Australia parts.
Is true you can't protest or be very vocal against the sistem or Putin but if you are nobady and talk in your private environment you can still do it on your own risk.
He finish the army and was requested to go to war in Ukraine, but he was able to refuse, don't know how.

Moust of this actions are like this because Russia is having a war economy right now and is helped by China and India.
My sister been in 2009 in Moscow and Novosibirsk and have other story's as well, se stay in Russia for 9 months.

Moustly thous who opose the regim.
Russia send in the war thous who opose the regim, the poor people with financial problem (salary is like 2000 EURO, to go to war, AT THE END OF YOUR CAMPAIN), BASICLY you are not payed in your battles but if you survive and come back.
So many of the people in the russian side are poor people, uneducated, no morality, just greedy and needy for money to survive or criminals who are been promise to finish their jail time at the end of war.
But you are ask at 18 after your military service and you are encourage to accept to go to war. But Ukraine take people at war with age 27, but they do military service starting with 18.
In Ukraine you don't go and you are not even invited, exept you want to go.
