The democrats, sadly control most of the media. They are so cocky about this, their news anchors actually brag on live tv that it is their job to tell you what to think. They know they control your reality. They tell you that Republicans totally lost everything. Not true. Republicans had a lot of surprising victories in Governors races and they are going to take control of the house. Republicans scored victories even in deep blue areas. It definitely could have been better, but it was not a wash out. Republicans are in a far better position than they were before the election. Control of the media is a huge advantage. Democrats also control Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc. They are losing their mind at having lost Twitter. It is no longer a cog in the left-wing indoctrination machine. You libs have several things in common. You have been manipulated to HATE the American flag. You say the mere sight of it makes you uncomfortable. You hate capitalism and you think socialism and communism are better forms of government. The democrats want to you think this way to make you easier to control. It worked for Lenin and Mao. The end game for all of this is the democrats running a one-party socialist government with zero opposition allowed. Take a look at North Korea, China, and Venezuela for examples of where the democrats want to take you.

You fucking idiot Democrats don't control any company, certainly not Facebook, Google, Apple, or Microsoft. Those companies bow to public pressure because it's in their financial interest to do so. Just so happens Democrats policies are much more accepted by the mainstream population. Profit motive, conservatives used to talk about it all the time

The problem republicans face is there is not much enthusiasm for cutting taxes for the rich, which is their only actual goal. So they have to trick people into voting for them and there aren't many tricks besides anger, hate, and fear. Trump did that very well but it's hard to imagine anyone else who can half so well. And anyone who tries will likely just be viewed as a cheap imitation.

The main reason Trump was so good at whipping is base into a frothing rage is because he spoke to them like toddlers. After decades of republicans getting ever more clever with their dog whistles and subtext, Trump came in and just said directly "they're rapists." No decoding needed. And a whole right wing misinformation machine already in place to marginalize objections while microtargeting the message to people most likely to be motivated by it. The republican party can try to go back to being clever if they want, but I suspect that will frustrate a base that has grown accustomed to having everything dumbed down for them, while being told that willful ignorance is a virtue and education is stupid elitism. They know their only chances are to double down and find someone even more ridiculous than Trump (Vince McMahon?) or to just run with Trump again. I dont know how they're going to go, but I do hope it doesn't work out at all for them.

Trump is still the best option. Republicans have a disease called RINO. The press are claiming that the poor performance in the midterms was Trumps fault. It was more Mc Connels fault for not backing candidates that were in winnable races because they were Trump Republicans.
