no, he's doing good work.
But he's leaving a trail of mess behind him that I would think has consequences. Lots of people like chocolate cake... there are deniers, but if you shove choc cake in someones mouth it's not pleasant.
He's just too aggressive and not diplomatic. But it is what it is and the chips fall where they fall. Hopefully all about, there are cooler heads for quite some time. hopefully, the blowback isn't too bad in the future.
@exitseven I agree with you, he's better than I thought. To be honest, I'm not so sure he or anyone can cleanup the emotional mess left behind. That will be very difficult. You know those Europeans are not happy.
President Trump scored another win in Greenland yesterday, the stock market is almost at record levels and it looks line maybe Ukraine is getting serious about peace.
Dow was a record levels with Biden. That is not real America. Most Americans don't have stocks. Wall Street ain't Main Street. Gold is at all time highs , so is Silver, that is a sign of collapse not a good economy.

Yeah, I think I'm rational about President Donald Trump. I criticize His take on Palestine and the genocide of Palestinians there (a suspiciously high level of support for an indiscriminate shelling of civillians in the Gaza Strip), while also realizing the vast majority of His policies are perfectly justified. I do believe He fell short on His promises - I am not tired of winning yet, the EU still exists - but then again, He promised that to the US citizens, and I am not a US citizen. Oh, and about Gaza, He brokered a peace deal successfully in the end - I'll give Him that. I suppose I do not have TDS - yet I will still not dare to set my foot on US soil while He is President, since I would most likely get transferred to an off-grid CIA site straight out of the airport, given my takes on Palestine. If I can get a security guarantee on that one issue, though, I would love to visit the MAGA USA.
I respect it. I'm Canadian, so I'm also not an American citizen. I'm also against the genocide happening in Palestine and always have been. But I don't think that view would have me treated any different. While I'm against the genocide happening in Palestine, I'm also against Palestine protestors creating road blocks which prevents people just trying to provide for themselves and their families. It's nonsensical and gets nothing accomplished.
Okay then, if You can make it to the USA and not be taken by the CIA, I might go there myself. 😄
And yes, I also do not consider roadblocks in the USA a good way of protesting against a genocide in Palestine. Maybe that nuance can save us!
You should check this post out on desktop. I posted a few short videos on people with TDS 😂
No.
I disagree with Trump on a lot of things, but I've seen a lot of horrible presidents come and go.
I didn't get sucked into the hatred promoted by Democrats. They are hypocrites who are no better and actually worse in many cases. They just promoted hatred, hysteria and divisiveness for their own political gain.
I wound up hating Bill Clinton, Dubya and Obama. And I hated Biden and Harris from the get go. But I didn't lose my mind over it.
I’m an exceedingly pragmatic person by nature. I have some biases, but i’m not blinded by them.
I can see Drumpf for his strengths as well as his weaknesses. To be perfectly honest, i’m not generally a fan. However, he has pleasantly surprised me several times this year. I’m hoping he can continue to do so for the next few years.
No but can I think Trump sucks for what he's actually doing? The other thing is can he be criticized at all?
I would like to add that many MAGA supporters have a tough time even saying any one thing they disagree with him on or don't like about him besides maybe people admitting he posts too much or should watch how he says things sometimes because only Maga seems to be able to interpret his 4th grade vocabulary. I find this odd.
I am upset about him being our president not deranged. I can articulate why but it's just dismissed by MAGA supporters as fake no matter what.
I don't think I agree with anyone on everything and I doubt there are many people that do. I did not like Trump putting tariffs on Canada. I think he was stupid for calling Greenland, Iceland in an interview and failing to say Greenland every time he mentioned it. I remember when COVID was going on, Trump said he thought it would be a good idea to inject disinfectant into the human body (because disinfectant kills bacteria). That showed such stupidity and lack of understanding of biology. The next day there was a large increase in calls to poison control. You can't make a statement like that as the President of the US. But the people were equally stupid to listen to that nonsense.
Those were just the first things that came to mind. He's definitely not perfect and as you said, I think he's a terrible communicator (but I think that's mostly from old age, as he seemed pretty decent at communicating when he was younger). But in this term, he's definitely doing a lot of good things. I'm seeing win after win after win. Crime has went way down as well. The people who oppose him are so focused on hating him, they ignore all the good he's doing.
Thanks for being objective. I think it's important and appreciated from all sides because we need to be critical of our leaders.
Crime has been trending down since before he took office starting in 2023 which is great. I just don't believe he is solely responsible although he takes credit for every positive thing and blames others for every negative thing happening. That's one of the things I also don't like.
I hear this a lot. They hate him so much they ignore the good he's doing. I think many people have a right to just dislike or hate this guy. He's not a person that unifies others as he puts down half the countries citizens that have a different political ideology as him and has painted people like me as the enemy from within which is upsetting and dangerous in my opinion.
I agree with you on the other things you added as well and to add on I believe there will massive fall out on the global stage after he's gone. We won't be trusted and places like Canada who have always been good neighbors are rightfully going elsewhere for goods and services. We need to be better. He wants to end conflicts and wars as he is trying to start them in Iran and I believe he is not serving average American people enough as he does his rich billionaire friends and corporate donors. He gives us crumbs while he gives Israel billions which is going towards the bombing if innocent women and children. While Israel has universal healthcare, paid family medical leave and their own nukes, I wonder why we can't invest more in our own people. I don't think this is radical or deranged thinking. I think it's a reason to dislike him. Thanks for also being reasonable talking about this.
Canada is another story. I've lived here my whole life and Mark Carney is making a mess of everything. He's an absolute clown and the majority of people I know hate him, other than the older folk and radical leftists who refuse to look at any evidence to what we're saying.
The thing is... I was liberal leaning back in the day. I believe in equal rights. I'm pro choice. I do not believe you should be educating kids about trans nonsense. I do not hate gay people for being gay, but I'm against parading around and promoting it, especially in schools and media. I'm against cancel culture and believe in freedom of speech. I hate DEI and inclusivity with a passion (you should be selected for roles for your qualifications and capability. Not because they need to hit a specific ratio of minorities). I hate body positivity as well. It's basically just promoting obesity and broadcasting it everywhere.
I voted for Trudeau back in his first and even second term. I was blind to the changes going on and was just supporting him because he was the young, cool guy that seemed to understand youth and supported weed being legal (I don't do weed, but I don't think something as harmless as that is worth locking someone up in jail).
Now Canada has suffered the consequences of liberal leadership for many years and many of us are sick of it. Trudeau has done nothing good and put the country in the worst state it's been. And Carney is even worse than him, if that's even possible.
What consequences has Canada suffered under liberal leadership? Just asking cause I don't know.
Also, if you don't have a problem with gay people but you don't like them expressing themselves you do have a problem with them in my humble opinion. Maybe you explained yourself wrong or I misunderstood but that is like saying I don't hate you but I better not see you out in public flaunting who you are... What do you mean by promoting being gay? Lol. Like having auditions to be the next gay person in Canada on a sidewalk with a table display? If you don't hate someone you allow them to express thems freely. You're not going to make people that aren't gay turn gay. We all have to hear and see things we like and don't like in order for us to be free. I knew I was straight at like 5 years old. Nothing I saw was going to change my mind lol.
You can't be serious. Do you see straight people parading around being straight? Do you you see us trying to replace the country flag with a pride flag that literally represents the LGBwhatever community? The first thing I see walking into my local public library and almost every library is books on LGB stuff and trans. And they're FOR CHILDREN. It's literally integrated in many Netflix and YouTube films. And there has been a LARGE increase in the amount of people identifying as gay and with a bunch of nonsensical pronouns and titles. It's a mental illness being spread around.
I genuinely have nothing against gay people so don't try to put words into my mouth that are false. I have a gay aunt who I think is really cool and probably the most chill and kind lady I know. But she's a conservative gay and not waving a flag around and in everyone's face about it.
As for liberal leadership, we've had mass immigration to the point Canadians have a joke about being India 2.0 and Tim Hortons is now known as Singh Hortons. It's next to impossible for youth to get entry level jobs because they're taken up by immigrants. There were initially even incentives the government gave entry level jobs to hire immigrants like cuts on taxes.
We have a housing crisis here. Food prices have surged over the past years under liberal leadership. Literally our food prices have increased 150% in 10 years. Gas prices are ridiculous. And the liberal government thinks taxpayer money is their personal bank account. They keep sending billions of taxpayer money to Ukraine and you should see all the LGB nonsense Trudeau invested millions into during his terms. Meanwhile we have the most people on the streets we've ever had. We have the most people using food banks ever. Food banks are literally flooded each day. We have criminals running rampant to the point that cops have told us to leave our keys at the front of our house so there's no issues with the criminals taking it because we don't have the right to defend ourselves here (castle law).
I definitely wasn't trying to put words in your mouth when I asked for you to explain what you meant as well as stated I might be misunderstanding you.
In a city close by me, they even banned security cameras, because it goes against the rights of criminals apparently.
I don't know what else to tell you
Thanks for explaining your viewpoints. No hard feelings
Ah yeah... also apparently the liberal party had 76 days of vacation and they have another 76 this year. They're working Soooo hard for us. Exactly what we want to see from our government. Mark Carney has also made tons of promises that he's done the opposite of already. And when conservatives voted in a member of the conservative party Michael Ma, as soon as he was voted in, he swapped sides to the liberal party, which somehow isn't illegal. It makes no fucking sense.
Well I def can understand if you voted for someone under certain belief structures and then they get into office and are like JUST KIDDING. That is not good. I totally get that. by the way as your New York Neighbor I have always had a great experience in Canada. People seem really nice and I am a hockey fan so I enjoyed going to a game in Montreal and watching them whoop the Islanders lol. I'm a rangers fan (they are in the dumps this year).
Oh most people are very welcoming here. That's not the issue. Canada is and has always been known for being friendly. But we walk on eggshells trying to cater to people's feelings. Even me... even though I state my real thoughts online as many people feel more comfortable to do, I find it hard to be blunt with people as I want to be in person in fear of hurting their feelings, even if it's just political views.
It doesn't mean we're satisfied with the government's decisions and the state of Canada right now.
My parents were both immigrants from the Caribbean. I'm not against immigration. I'm against illegal immigration and mass immigration when we don't have the economy, infrastructure, or housing available to handle the surge of people. I'm also against people who come here and don't try to integrate and force their values on others.
It is a human trait for good human beings that have empathy to be concerned about how your words affect others. If you feel like you're walking on eggshells that is prob why you go online to share how you really feel. Many people do that and to a degree it isn't necessarily bad unless you're a genuinely hateful person which I don't think you are.
In my opinion a lot of your concerns, based on how you have expressed them here are fears. Some of which are economic and some are of change. I might differ from you on some of your beliefs but that's ok. I have never felt the social concern you shared about legal immigration as long as you don't try to force their values onto others. I have always been like oh cool you're different than me. Tell me more and share your culture with me and I can do the same for you.
My grandparents and great grandparents came to NY from Italy. Italians Americans have been embraced as part of American culture (well for the most part in the north east and west coast.) as being part of American culture.
I can share that for my great Grandpa he experienced people that felt like you and made it very difficult for him to integrate into society. He was productive, hard working, and it took up until he died (1950) to feel like an American despite being here for 30 years.
Now I know you literally just said you wouldn't say these things in public, or want to hurt someone's feelings for feeling like you can come here but don't try to change anything or change me, but I don't really think anyone can make you do that but you.
I say this with peace and love. When someone has so much love for your country that they want to be part of it, legally, and put into productivity if your nation, they should have a right to be themselves, being bringing what they loved from their country of origin, integrating into your country's values, and being embraced by people. We're one people really with a lot of different experiences and different backgrounds. We all want to be safe and happy.
I think this comes into the perception is reality thing. I by zero means am telling you you're wrong or should not think what you think. I think we choose to see things a certain way or at the very least receive what we see as a certain reality. Maybe because I live in NY and have such a diverse background of neighbors and friends (not saying you don't. I don't know you) that I find it fun. All of this is behind the legal aspect of what you talked about. We have freedom of expression just like Canada.
If you want to say only for what I think is of Canadian values you are free to express well that's not right. You said something about parading around... you can choose to parade around legally or not. It's still ok. You don't have to like it and for you to be able to express yourself like you're doing here or in public if you choose, within legal parameters, is what it means to be free. I get annoyed when I see things I don't like but I try to choose to be like... ah fuck it. They're not doing anything wrong because I don't like it or agree. I'm glad they can disagree freely. Just my take.
Your username is accurate. But we disagree on a fundamental level. I think I'll stop here. Wish you the best.
I don't use social media so I can't view that just a heads up
Well thanks and I agree. Have a great day.
I tink Trump is pretty funny but I have not search for his politics much hey don't talk about him a lot in France except for saying the same stuff like he's crazy and stuff there's no really unbiased version of him here os it's hard to know if his politic is good or no when we are outsider
They will never admit it. They think they are composed of reason and logic. Those people are irredeemable and incurable. And the best thing that can happen to them is cardiac arrest.
nope , that is given to anyone that can think for themselves , see the damage he is creating, and doesn't worship Trump. So any "normal" person is labeled to have TDS. The Syndrome is the ones that FOLLOW him no matter what. Worship him. Give their pre teen daughters to him for sex. Are willing to jump off a mountain if he asks them too and the ones that pray to him at night before they go to bed.
It's a disgusting phrase used to bully people into keeping quiet about Trump.
Then you clearly haven't heard the other version Trump haters have come up with. "Trump Dick Sucker"
The polar opposite term is also less of a pejorative term. "Trump Vindication Syndrome" or TVS
Does that mean they're bullying Trump supporters into keeping quiet about him?
@HawkPerception Actually, it's TDSS "trump dick-slurping syndrome". trump derangement syndrome is an oxymoron, since hating trump or being "deranged" by the unbearable stupidity of himself and his disciples is just a sign of a normal state of mind.
I have never seen anyone call a Trump supporter a "Trump Dick Sucker". Anyone saying that or saying someone has TDS is a bully.
@I_am_a_human So you think saying someone has TDS is being a bully, but you don't think anyone who calls Trump supporters fascist Nazis is not? If that's the case, you're really soft. The world isn't built on pixies and fairy dust, contrary to what the left wants to believe
I think you have misinterpreted what I am saying. Any sort of name-calling by someone makes that person a bully. Anyone who calls a Trump supporter a fascist Nazi is also a bully.
@I_am_a_human @HawkPerception trump supporters are supporting fascism, whether they realize it or not.
People being arrested, beaten, raped, murdered and deported without trial. Threats of annexation of sovereign nations. Cult of the leader. Repression against political enemies. Demonization of liberalism. Promotion of an alternate "reality" with alternate "facts".
If you're fine with it, you're supporting fascism even if you're not aware of it. trump's second term isn't pixies and fairy dust.
@Danzigdawson You mind sending me your sources? Who is being beaten, raped, and murdered? And who is behind it? If you're talking about ICE, then they handle the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants and criminals.
Do you even understand the definition of fascism? People like you would not be able to express your opinions or protest freely in the streets if Trump were a fascist. Fascism is what people in Venezuela went through with Maduro. It's what the Iranians are going through right now. You're speaking from an incredibly entitled and ignorant standpoint.
@Danzigdawson If you attack someone personally, they will be less receptive to listening. Would a Trump supporter be rather told, "I don't agree with this. It resembles what happened in Nazi Germany. Here is why..." or "You are a fascist Nazi..."? Would you be rather told, "I don't agree with this. We are doing a poor job protecting citizens from illegal immigrants. Here is why..." Disagreeing is fine, but people need to be civil about it.
Oops, please excuse typo. Second to last sentence should be: Would you be rather told, "I don't agree with this. We are doing a poor job protecting citizens from illegal immigrants... Here is why..." or "You have TDS..."?
@I_am_a_human it's been ten years since 2016. A whoooooooole lot of sh*t has happened since then. Either you haven't paid attention or you've lived under a rock all this time. MAGA scum can't be reasoned with and YES: they actually are lying, dishonest, violent scum. It's not just a gratuitous insult.
@HawkPerception There's no debating fascists. As I said, it's not 2016 anymore. You've shown what you are countless times: from Charlottesville, to Jan. 6 2021, to the killing of Renee Good and through so many time-wasting conversations such as this one.
@Danzigdawson So you run away when asked for the sources of your information? And did you just completely ignore the comment I made about what fascism is? I see you still don't understand the definition of it.
Go ahead though... make your comments then leave. It's what all radical leftists like yourself are good at. I don't see why you bothered commenting here in the first place.
@HawkPerception It's always the same conversation over and over and over again. Gloat all you want that you've "won the debate" because I didn't want to waste my time writing a 3000 word text so you can focus on a misplaced comma or a source that may seem less reliable despite the inclusion of others which are solid and trustworthy; all the while purposefully missing the whole point.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of debates just like this one on g@g alone, citing sources, articles, facts. Conservatives rarely, if ever "win"; nor do they take the time to cite sources and write a convincing, reasonable argument. Just grow up and do your own fucking research.
@Danzigdawson Ask anyone on GaG whether I'm the type to do research or not before making comments. And I'm not asking you to make a 3000 word essay. I'm asking you to copy and paste some real neutral (non leftist propaganda) sources which back your claims. And sounds like you're talking out of your ass again, claiming numbers you haven't read anything about. Just leave the conversation. You have nothing of value to add.
@HawkPerception Anyone rational who reads the following article would agree that trump's second term is fascist. www.nytimes.com/.../robert-paxton-facism.html
If you don't and think that you're more of an expert on the subject than Robert Paxton, you're an idiot.
If you dismiss the New York Times as leftist propaganda and don't even read the article, you're a complete tool of an idiot.
Quit wasting everybody's time, including mine.
@HawkPerception Numbers? Where the fuck did I mention any numbers? Is this a prepared statement? 😄 What a mess...
@Danzigdawson "There are hundreds, if not thousands of debates just like this one on g@g alone, citing sources, articles, facts. Conservatives rarely, if ever "win"; nor do they take the time to cite sources and write convincing, reasonable argument..."
Those are numbers as far as I can tell and I'm pretty sure you came up with those numbers out of your ass. It's like you can't even keep track of what you're saying yourself.
Also, do me a favor and take 2 seconds to Google "Is New York times leftist"
Here, I'll help you out.
https://ibb.co/shbWp50
https://ibb.co/1fXmSrQN
@Danzigdawson You're wasting your own time. I'm not asking you to respond with your stupidity. But it's pathetic that you think you're making any points.
@HawkPerception Yeah, you're an absolute idiot. Bye now.
@Danzigdawson Look in the mirror once in a while, would ya? 😂
Nope. But I have TES... Trump exhaustion syndrome.
How does name-calling (saying someone has TDS or claiming someone is a fascist idiot) help?
Same reason any word exists. To define or identify someone or something. Why does the word "idiot" exist? Why does the word "fascist" exist?
And who said anything about being helpful in this post? This post was made in humor.
I don't have the same sense of humor.
I can see that. I can see you're just trying to have everyone love and get along with each other, and have them communicate respectfully with one another, which is a noble cause, but a naive one.
Hell no!!! The complete opposite!!
You do...
