Until they are responsible enough to have their own place they own or pay for.

Everyone wants their freedom... but that requires responsibility. You go messing with boys, and you are messing with fire... and you know it. The consequence gets passed onto your parent/grandparent, so they have a say.

18 means you are old enough to be legally responsible, but probably are not. It's a useless number. The question is.. can you pay the bills to maintain life?

I spent the night at my boyfriend’s, came home and my grandma said I should have a curfew

When you live with your grandmother, spending the night with your boyfriend is disrespectful. Your grandmother is probably smart enough to know that you are having sex with your boyfriend but spending the night is like rubbing her face in it. She got angry and restricted your freedom by imposing a curfew. How long will it take her to no longer be angry wth you?

I don’t know and honestly I don’t care anymore because all she does is speak ill of me so I don’t exactly feel very wanted or anything
