Do you feel America 🇺🇸 is in a bad place militarily if we had to fight in a war? And why not or why?

I think we would be in trouble if we had to defend America 🇺🇸 in a war. We don't have as many people in the military anymore. We are thousands short right now. Plus when we were dragged out Afghanistan they inherited millions of dollars worth of our equipment to fight a war. Which I heard was sold to China, but don't quote me on that.

Let me put it this way:

The current state of the US military is a disgrace from top to bottom, for more reasons than could possibly be fixed even in an entire generation. That said, it is still in far better shape and with much better force projection capability than any other country on the planet, by far.

It's an open secret that we never have as strong of a military under Drmocrats, even those who pretend to like America. This time, under the Manchuria candidate, our military is being deliberately destroyed and recruiting deliberately sabotaged.

i think future warfare will not depend on the size of an army but the state of an army's technology.

We've probably 1-3 ex military vetreans maybe more still fit to be drafted for service again probably another 3 if given 3-6 months could be fit to serve again. The US Military has like 1.4 million active personel and another 800,000 reserves in the national guards and reserves all volunteers. With 17 million military aged potential draftees. The big problem I think is when the current force of 2 million military personnel get older and aren't replaced, say 20-40% decide to retire next year. Another problem is that a huge percentage of potential volunteers and draftees are overweight or obese so much so that basic training had to be changed to slowly get new recruits into shape to start basic training, teaching then about fitness and diet.

Militarily we are fine but we have so many bases around the world that need manned.

The equipment we lost in Afghanistan was no big deal really, it was more of a gift. If you compare it too what was lost in Vietnam, whole state of the art jet fighters like the F5 freedom fighter (mig28) and tons and tons of tanks, apcs, artillery, crates of unopened m16s, m14s, garrands, machine guns etc. The Chinese in the Vietnam- China war found out all about it. As for selling Afghanistan national army weapons to China big deal, China has been copying US military equipment for decades versions of humvees, m16s, c47s, predator drones, black hawks you name it. Half the time we sold them civilian versions or their spies got the plans.

What was worth more was the training we gave to the Afghan national army who were secretly part of the taliban or later joined the Taliban. The Taliban really just wants peace with the US, they lost a lot after 9/11 and won't make that mistake again. Better the Taliban than isis or Al queada.

The US military really just needs to update and replace equipment, most of which are from the cold war. So few actual US military personnel are frontline soldiers these days.

What you should look at is the Ukraine war. Russian military equipment was mostly ineffectual. Their air power was worthless due to being shot down by hand held anti Air missles and anti Air missle batteries, their tanks worthless due to javelin missle systems and drones. They have to rely on huge artillery barrages to hit anything, meanwhile Ukrainians do more with less. Russian special forces have gotten torn apart because they've been specifically targeted due to Russian security breaches, Ukrainians don't fight them they just hit them with artillery and drone strikes because they know where they are. China and russias army fight like its the 197/80s and are armed accordingly. Now if the uk, France or Germany decided to take on the US militarily I would be worried.

Probably. First off, we've got the weakest leader we've EVER had!! And, have you seen our recent ads for the military? They're all about how inclusive and diverse they are!! They don't give a fuck about winning a war or training people to fight one!! And, look at the SHIT they've got to pick from!! A bunch of little spoiled rotten whiny babies that would rather throw a fit and protest about their treatment in the military than to actually try to outrun a bullet!! And, seeing as how they'd HAVE to carry a gun, how many will even bother to join? At least not without a puppy and a crying towel!!

No- like I said, "no effect". All the training and "discipline" in the world won't let you move faster than 800 feet per second. You can try to hide and keep from being seen, or keep moving unpredictably, and keep the other guy from getting a clear shot, but once that bullet's left the barrel, it has- in terms of human capabilities- already been decided whether it's going to hit you or not.

Well, the good news is, the US hasn't been invaded in over 200 years, and it's REALLY unlikely that's going to change any time soon; we're safe enough on that front. Would we be in trouble? Yes- but not nearly as much as whoever it was who was trying to invade us; absent an alien attack, no one's in position to.

Are we weakened in our ability to invade someone ELSE? Yes- but the far bigger cause for worry is the decision to fire thousands of workers for their refusal to take an experimental gene therapy. The act in itself is troubling enough, but the idea behind it- that the only people allowed in the ONE organization the administration wants to keep armed have to submit to the ideology of "what the government says, goes"- is outright horrifying.

As far as I know there's been no counter developed to hypersonic missiles, so carrier doctrine won't work anymore, severely weakening the us military's dominant status.

That said nobody else is set to roundly beat the US either. Any serious conflict would be insanely lethal to both sides.

The oil reserves were drained for political gain. Massive amounts of weaponry are being given to Ukraine. Manufacturing was driven from this country while Biden was in politics. Military funding is being allocated for other worthless projects. We rely on an adversary for computer chips. That are used in almost anything electronics.
