I think Kari Lake, the Republican running for governor of Arizona, really got ripped off in every way you look at it. She ran the race with her hands tied behind her back by the unfairness of the Democrats. Again, another unfair election run by the cheating ways of the Democrats.

In the 2018 election for Governor, Brian Kemp was Secretary of State. He did not recuse himself from overseeing the election, but instead, decided to "accidently" allow thousands of absentee ballot applications to sit unanswered until they passed the deadline. He also suppressed votes in other ways. Stacey Abrahms ended up 18,000 votes from a runoff. The Republicans also turned away voters who had moved but were still eligible to cast "provisional ballots".

In the 2000 Presidential election, the famous "hanging chad" scenario, the Republican head of the Election Board, in a state where the Republican Governor was the candidates BROTHER, flat out REFUSED to allow a re-vote in the heavily Democratic County where the machine malfunction took place. Instead, it went to the Conservative controlled Supreme Court who essentially "appointed" George W. Bush the next President, thereby disenfranchising every voter who cast a ballot in that district. Their votes were thrown out, by the Supreme fucking Court, as if they never happened!! What... the... fuck?

There was absolutely NO good reason for not having re-vote. None at all.

So stop your crying and look at your own party's antics, which are far, far more insidious than the hapless Dems'.

My apology, I should have answered been more direct and THEN digressed because it is necessary to point out what the precedent has been. Should she have - yes, it would be the honorable thing to do. However, there is no way her Republican opponents in the same position did, would or will do. Actually, there should be a law governing this kind of conflict of interest, and a judge should appoint a person to oversee it.

This election is far from over. I suspect given the extremely slim margin Hobbs had and the fact that she was the one in charge of running the election this will be tied up in the courts for months. The democrats were really stupid to think this would not come back and bite them in the butt.
