No, it's not religion. Religion is just an excuse. It's fear of change. Fear of the unknown. Gay people didn't use to be out. Now that they are, it's changing the culture. It's a break from tradition. The idea they may need to change with the times is a terrifying concept for them. So, instead of adapting to change, they are trying to fight it in the only way they know how. By literally fighting like dumb apes. But, there's good news. History shows that change always comes, regardless of how much people fight against it. Nothing stops progress and the laws of nature always hold true. You either adapt or die out. So while it may suck right now, take heart. In the decades to come, they will dwindle and they will die until none are left. And the wheel of progress will just keep rolling on as if they never lived at all.

Not really but if you look around, quite many of them actually aggressively beg for the society acceptance which they know can never be obtained. I have no issue with them. One of my friend is gay and we get along pretty well. The only issue I have is when they go around and attack others who disagree with their lifestyles. You can’t expect everyone is okay with something that is mostly seen as taboo among the people though. Not to mention they love insulting Christians and Muslims, yet expect us to respect them.

I think the vast majority of people are accepting of gay people and don’t really care if someone is gay or not. It’s not religious people that attack gay people it’s more like closeted gay people that use religion as an excuse to vent their frustration. Think about it, who would get mad because someone is gay? Maybe someone who can’t admit they’re gay even to themselves?

Often people like to say bad things about religion when it’s people that are messed up and not religion. I’m not super religious and don’t claim to know it all, but what I have learned is that we’re supposed to love our neighbors and treat others how we want to be treated. How can one expect forgiveness and compassion when not willing to give it themselves?

I think maybe you have seen too many after school specials. I grew up as part of a rowdy bunch of guys full of testosterone and we spent more time making fun of each other by far than anyone else. I come from a conservative family and neither of my parents would have tolerated us treating someone poorly.

What I see in movies and on tv I have never seen in real life. I am talking about the red neck jock type and his buddies cornering a gay guy and beating him up or verbally abusing him. I have seen situations where someone assumed they were unwanted or unwelcome because guys were goofing around with each other only to realize nobody had even given them a thought.

Anyone that murders another random person because they don’t agree with how they look, who they love, how they talk or where they’re from is mentally ill and to associate it with conservative values is wrong.

I’m uncomfortable with them because I was sexually harassed in high school and then got in trouble for it. It was really close to becoming an assault.


As for why so many people don’t like them? Theirs a lot of reasons and it’s different for everyone. Some of them don’t like gay people because of their representation from the alphabet soup group, some don’t like them because of religion, some people don’t like them because they have a tendency to be entitled, some don’t like them because in certain areas they get away with sexual harassment and theirs more reasons but I’m done listing.

We also know a woman who was murdered here in Oklahoma. Close friend of both my sons committed suicide about 6 years ago ALL these deaths a waste all under 26 years old.
