What is the Democrat/liberal vision for the USA?

Lets say all MAGA Conservatives permanently retired to Belize, Costa Rica or Guyana or somewhere and the country was left to The Left. What would they do with the country? Economics, social justice, whatever you can think of? Bear in mind that you would not have Conservative wealth/tax receipts, social/moral order, etc. All you have is the country, infrastructure and who is left behind, with most farm land vacant. There's nobody to cheat, trick or manipulate. Just you. You get to keep the homeless, flood of illegals, crime and the rest, while we sip drinks under a palm tree. A little like Atlas Shrugged. What would happen? How would you "fix" the country?

... This is kind of stupid. You assume that conservatives are the foundation of the wealth and social/moral order in the country? Ridiculous. If anything, I consider them the opposite, the source of poverty and social disorder. But sure, lets pretend I am wrong and go with your made up scenario.

If the country suddenly lost a major part of their "conservative wealth" (which I still think is a laughable concept) then the best way to stop the country from backsliding into a 3rd world status would be for the government to step in and replace the missing sectors. Yes that means socialism with publicly controlled companies.

As such the government could essentially pump in unlimited money into the economy and ensure that people still had jobs with good income and that the country was still producing products and services keeping up the GDP. If this is a permanent solution or if the government starts to privatize these sectors later is not important and could go either way. Right now it would just be an emergency response to prevent collapse.

It would also be good to attempt to redistribute the population since you have a lot of suddenly empty land (and USA already had bad distribution of people to begin with). As such you could do similar to what you did during colonization and offer up land and benefits for people to move where you need them and give them the equipment, knowledge and support for what you want them to do such as farming or whatever.

USA is also critically lacking in population as a whole so promoting immigration is just a solid good idea. Not would it be insane to not register illegal immigrants but you should make it super easy to immigrate and even pay students to come over and study/get a job in USA. It would also be a good idea to promote families having more children with financial support and other incentives. The long term goal would be to increase the population in USA by around 5 times (before all the conservaderps left).

As for services, the private healthcare sector just needs to go, its beyond salvaging at this point. Have the government forcefully buy up all the hospitals and spend the next 10 years re-assigning, closing and generally fixing the mess while giving free quality healthcare to everyone. The government also needs to do something about the insanely retarded patent situation which is particularly bad in medicine such as insulin.

Fix public education and make it free. The country benefits greatly from having students leave school well educated and without debts to slow them down which allows them to start building their family early and amass wealth.

The laws need a complete re-write, the police system needs to be broken up and mostly replaced, the secret service is going to be halved and programs such as those spying on American Civilians needs to go. The military budget also needs to get nuked which includes giant cuts to every sector, including nuclear weapons since they are neither needed nor useful and just cost money.

To deal with the "Social and moral order" which is supposedly terrible according to OP the choice is very simple since punishment and harsh sentences objectively dont work and rehabilitation is very effective which means private prisons is going the way of the dodo. What more? The homeless will have plenty of free homes since the conservaderps left not to mention all the homes that would get freed up after you stop rich people and corporations from investing into real estate etc..

The government will have plenty of open jobs for at least 50 years for anyone who seek employment by just repairing the failing American infrastructure. Lastly fix the broken election system to a more democratic one.

So.. to recap where we are right now...

People will have more freedoms, less discrimination and prosecution and live longer and healthier lives with free healthcare taking care of USAs current declining lifespan.

Everyone will have a home and there will be free education as well as always have a government funded job to do which would earn them a good standard of living.

Criminals would be caught easier with a police force actually focused on catching criminals where as most social calls are handled by social workers which will have fewer people shot by scared police officers seeing a kid with a toy gun after responding to a public disturbance call.

Criminals would also be rehabilitated in prisons and most will not turn towards crime again after serving their sentence.

With a great influx of new immigrants and new births there will be an economic boom that will carry the country into a new golden age.

Sadly, all this spending will mean USA is going to go into an even deeper debt but it is always best to take on new debt when facing problems.. such as a large part of the country leaving.. and it will be temporary as when the new immigrants and new generations grows up they can reliably start to reduce the national debt instead of growing it year by year like you are currently doing.

So yeah.. I would say the country would look in much better shape without the right wing dragging the country down with it.

Ban assault weapons and most weapons... except for use by police and their personal security guards.

The remainder of crime wouldn't be crime, or whatever suites the political expediency at the time. See France for an example of how impossible it is to remove a vagrant from your property.

There'd be no border and people would come in for a while... until they find out what it's like, then they'd try to leave but they can't due to policy controls, capital controls.

They would raise taxes on the business owners to pay their fair share... most business would leave the country for the republican countries, then they'd raise taxes, deal with social chaos by wealth distribution... and invade the republican country with guns they have stored up.

They would ban "meat" in favor of alternate products.

There'd be no gas power, except for government vehicles and airplanes they fly in or rich democrats. Everyone else turns thermostat down to 50, like in Germany. People ride bicycles to work or mass transit, except govt officials that use cars.

Armed gangs would rule the day, like mexico.

Wouldn't be able to find the medicine you need... like the problem we have now affording insulin, so they'd just re-define the illness as not an illness.

It might look more like france somewhat with social benefits, 5 weeks vacation to start, etc.. socialized infrastructure by taxation.

Everyone have health care... but you'd have to wait a long time to get in the office if not an emergency.

Everyone would install gates around their property to keep vagrants out. e. g. "build a wall" would be a theme... just around property rather than the border. Good for business.

Caps on drug and health care costs. A livable federal minimum wage. Immigration reform and giving people already here a pathway to citizenship. Get as many of them documented as we can instead of chasing our tail in circles with too few immigration courts and detention facilities to make a dent in the problem. That has to be part of the overall solution along with tighter border enforcement and punishing employers who hire and exploit these people illegally. A more rehabilitative criminal justice system. Conservatives don’t like to admit it but there is a reason why most crime rates in Europe are lower than the US. Harsh sentencing actually increases recidivism and makes us less safe in the long run. There are plenty of studies to corroborate that. It’s antiquated thinking. More trade protectionism on US industries. Trump was somewhat on the right track here, the steel tariffs for instance. Where he went off the rails was slapping tariffs on Chinese goods with no U. S. equivalents. Those were just a straight up tax on consumers. We should also consider subsidizing certain industries to keep them in the US because it’s in our national interest to do so. Take the amoxicillin shortage right now. Most of our antibiotics come from overseas. That’s not acceptable. We need to make those here. I could go on and on but those are a few ideas.

Your premise doesn't even make sense. Just because a person is Conservative doesn't mean they agree with your narrow politics. I could just flip the script and say you can only take the homophobic, racist, religious extremist xenophobes.

The nation works perfectly fine with Conservatism and Conservative principles included in one big umbrella. It can't survive with folks who think certain rights and privileges should only be accessible to a few. And are perfectly willing to get violent if they aren't able to enforce their political ideology on the rest of us.
