Seattle use to be an OK city 10-15 years ago. It was never all that impressive. It had a bit of urban decay and a giddy side even back then. That said, in recent years homelessness and drug addiction has sky rocketed. There are tent cities and tons of van lifers in camper vans living on the streets. They had a bunch of ANTIFA/BLM riots which damaged portions of the city. You probably remember the CHAZ/CHOP crap where they were taking over parts of the city, ripping up public property trying to form a communist enclave, looting local businesses, beating up journalists, and trying to kidnap outsiders to torture and interrogate. Obviously that is not very desirable unless you are a drug dealer or looter. The streets today smell like stale urine, there are crack shits, broken vials, needles, and crack pipes on the streets from all the junkies. Property crime has sky rocketed. Violent criminals are basically catch and release these days with no prosecution. ANTIFA has been setting forest fires in recent years, which is bad for air quality. Overall the population of the city is shrinking due to it’s negative traits. A shrinking population, leads to a shrinking economy. Starting a new business in a shrinking economy isn’t the brightest idea.

I like living in Florida. I was born in Florida and have family all over the state. I've considered moving to other states a couple of times when different job offers came up, but changed my mind and stayed here. Florida is definitely growing rapidly. I was born in Fort Lauderdale and grew up in Boca Raton. The Tri-County areas on the Gold Coast (Palm Beach/Broward/Miami-Dade) has become very busy and grown a lot. Some people love that, others don’t. A lot of transplants from other states moved to that area of South Florida, which has brought a lot more rude people from the North East, so that is not as desirable to me as it was when I was younger. The Tampa metro has been rapidly growing. The Orlando metro has as well, in addiction to the surrounding areas like The Villages, Lake Nona, Sunbirdge, Harmony, and Deltona. The I-4 corridor between the two has seen growth in places like Lakeland from urban sprawl. The fastest growing metro in the state runs from Vero Beach north to Titusville in Central East Florida along the Treasure Coast and Space Coast. The Gainesville/Alachua area has also seen reasonable growth as have areas of the panhandle like Destin and Fort Walton Beach. Massive planned live/work/play cities are being constructed around the state. The Bright Line (America's fastest train) is connecting different metros together and is a work in progress. Economic growth in the biotech, computer science, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, and ecotourism is happening all over. The economy seems to be doing pretty well here at the moment, even if the overall economy looks glum.

No not at all, it's a woke city so it's high crime, high illegal immigrant, uncontrolled homelessness all over the streets in the business districts, high taxes, high regulations, definitely anti-business climate.
