Were the baby boomers lucky?

The Baby Boomer (1945-1964) are the reason we are in such a mess. Spoiled brats of WW2 that did not fight for Conservative control in government and schools as they chose their Country Clubs, Work, Private Schools over the underpinnings that their Parents fought for. If I have a HATE Generation it is that crowd of Most Spoiled Generation.

In some ways. I mean, they were born in the era of anesthetic; that's pretty lucky by itself. They also inherited the boom of the post-WW2 economy, which gave them a HUGE leg up, and got their degrees before diploma inflation rendered them meaningless.

Of course. They were born into a period of relative peace (at least in Europe and America) at a time when people's lives were getting easier because of technology. It's the definition of privilege. You don't get to choose when and where you are born, anyone who gets to live a decent life in the tens of thousands of years human beings have been around is lucky.

No they were just more free and had an actual education.

We had a taste of what the Boomers enjoyed until 3 years ago. The Boomers kept such policies of freedom going for a decade or more enabling them to build up their wealth and savings.

Millennials being far too spoiled by such wealth mostly chose to go in the opposite direction and got opposite results.
